Appreciating the Greatness of Novak Djokovic

i can't remember where and when this point was played... but some years back, i believe its 2009 or so, when nadal first started struggling. there was a match he played against djokovic, where djokovic really crushed him by taking the initiative. and there was a point in that match, where he...

For the Federer believers: Tell me, how many more Slams will he win?

Forty plus or more. I see all 3 this year, plus 10 more consecutive CYGS.

For the Federer believers: Tell me, how many more Slams will he win?

i voted for 5+ although if you have 40+ i would have voted for that as it more accurately reflects my sentiments.

    Nalbandian vs Roddick exists

I have always said that this match was the one that could have changed tennis history. Nalbandian was unfairly robbed of the win, and probably his first GS title. If he had won, I like to bet that Federer wouldn't have had such an easy ride through the next 3-4 years.

Agassi: Nole can win the Calendar Grand Slam

obviously agassi is wrong. didn't he watch dubai and how federer schooled novak? my bet is on federer winning the next 24, maybe 40 grandslams in a row. he is playing better and better... fed's best is yet to come.

23.07.2006. Amersfoort - Novak's First ATP Title in Career

yup, first title ever on clay. just like federer's first ever masters title was on clay too. i have said often that fed and novak are both natural clay players. and their best tennis is actually on clay. its where they are both most comfortable and exhibit their highest quality tennis.

What would You say is Nadal's Contribution to tennis?

showing us that hard work and gumption, can overcome nature's unequal draw. every howitzer fired into federer's backhand, is testament that we mortals can succeed if we work hard. and not submit to nature's will. basically, nadal represents the best of humanity ever since we awoke from the...

Sampras - Federer strokes and ability comparison

you guys should really watch some of the old footages of sampras. his much vaunted running forehand was awesome then. but compared to modern players, its not even good. really. probably because of technology, but seriously, its very very difficult to compare players across eras.

Which player has benefited most from slowed down courts ?

yeah federer clearly benefits from faster surfaces, as exemplified by his sparkling 69% career win-loss record on the fastest hardcourt Masters tournament, the Paris Masters. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Federer_career_statistics#Singles:_126_.2884_titles.2C_42_runners-up.29

Federer of course. he just made the reigning world no. 1 look like an amateur.

If djokovic wins all 4 grand slams this year

i personally will put him above Rafa if he really does it. i usually just think #grandslams = greatness, but in this case, the CYGS is so rare, that i think it trumps all.

Makarova complains about Sharapova's lack of sportsmanship

toni nadal himself said that nadal had to work doubly hard(er than federer) to keep up with federer's natural talent. ok unless you think he is lying.

Makarova complains about Sharapova's lack of sportsmanship

NO. you are the one who moved the goalpost by claiming that i had said Federer did not need to work hard for his success. when all i had claimed, was that Nadal (and Sharapova) had to work HARDER than Federer (and Serena) because of the relative disparity in talent. you are such a...

Whats the best match djokovic has ever played?

my vote is Wimbledon 2011 or USO 2011. I think djokovic really made nadal look helpless and clueless for large stretches of the match, if not the entire match. really mastered nadal in those 2 matches.

Makarova complains about Sharapova's lack of sportsmanship

so you think that federer has it as hard as somdev devarman in professional tennis???? ffs. you are deluding yourself if you do.

Makarova complains about Sharapova's lack of sportsmanship

did i say that? i am merely saying that nadal and sharapova are LESS talented than federer and serena. and that's why i like them because they are the underdogs.

Would Kuerten ever have been able to beat Nadal at French Open?

i agree that novak would have beaten nadal at FO that year. his clay form was spectacular and the ease by which he defeated nadal at rome was very telling.
