    Microgel Prestige Pro The almost perfect frame...

    I put off trying the Radical MP for some time as I hit with a lot of spin and didn't think the tight string pattern would suit me. I tried the Radical Pro first and didn't have the control I wanted. Finally tried the Microgel Radical MP and I think the tight pattern works well with the more...

    Microgel Prestige Pro The almost perfect frame...

    If you're willing to add a bit of lead tape then the Microgel Radical MP is a good choice to create a similar feel to the Prestige Pro with some extra flex and forgiveness. And it's cheap! I've tried the Prestige Pro and liked it but have settled on the Radical MP with a bit of added weight...

    TW Reviews: Head Youtek Innegra Radical Racquets

    Great set of reviews and thanks for including the Radical OS. I'm still mostly using it after many years and it was interesting to see the comments compared to the other models. The new Rad Pro really looks worth a try but I won't be surprised if I still play my best tennis with the OS.

    Is Federer using a frame with a larger head?

    the new prince EXO3 tours

    I have been hitting with the exo3 tour 16x18 strung with Technifibre Black Code for the past couple of weeks and I love it. Good feel, loads of topspin and more power than the Rebel. For me it shines most from the baseline hitting topspin, but I think it handles well everywhere and is very...

    Old Prince O3 better than newer Ozone Tour

    I recently got to hit with the Ozone Tour Mid (95 head) and thought it was very decent. Sadly it's being phased out by Prince and there's no obvious replacement in the EXO3 line. Similar specs to the old Tour Diablo. I guess the Ozone Tour MP may not be around much longer either.

    The Oversize Racquet Club

    Count me in. My usual racquet is the Head LE Agassi Radical OS, and I have three of them. I string it with Head Rip Control at around 58lbs. Forgiving feel, plenty of power and good control. I also have a POG OS, which is a very nice racquet. But with that very open stringing pattern I...

    Pro Kennex Ki5 Setup

    I bought a second-hand old black Pro Kennex 5g with a wooden handle, which I really liked. Then I recently bought a new Pro Kennex 5g classic from TW, thinking it would be the same, but it's completely different. I just took it to a store to get the new 5g matched to the old one. They added...

    ProKennex 5g stringing

    Many thanks - the pattern posted by Samster looks just the job.

    ProKennex 5g stringing

    Thanks for the information. Have you had any trouble getting the second string through the 5H grommet? It looks quite narrow. I guess the ProKennex really is designed just for one piece stringing.

    ProKennex 5g stringing

    Does anyone know the correct two piece stringing pattern for the ProKennex 5g (or 7G or Ki 5). I only have the one piece stringing pattern and would like to be able to try some hybrids. Sorry if this should be obvious! Also interested to hear about any strings that people have found work...

    Why do I keep breaking the crosses?

    I've been using Head Rip Control (mains and crosses) recently and always break the crosses first. A friend had the same experience. That's never happened to me with a full job of any other string. It's quite strange, but they last for a reasonable length of time so I'm not too worried.

    ProKennex Kinetic Ki 5 295 vs ProKennex Kinetic Ki 5 315

    The numbers refer to the weight of the racquet. There's going to be a 280, a 295 and a 315. So the 315 is about the weight as the current Ki 5s, while the other frames are lighter. (I was told this by ProKennex directly.)

    Worth the extra money? PK Ki 5 or Head Youtek Speed

    New PK range Slightly off topic, but I've recently been in touch with PK and they told me they're putting out a new range which will include 280g and 295g versions of the Ki 5 (as well as the usual 315g version). They even sent me a picture of the 295g frame. Each model has the weight printed...

    calling all 2hbhers!... your best ever 2hbh rods!... + Q...

    I was going to say the POG OS and Rad OS (particularly the Agassi Ltd Edition), but I've been beaten to it! Perhaps because they give a little bit of extra power and are just so secure. I also found the Head Extreme Pro was good for the DHBH - very snappy. The bane of the DHBH is short...

    Any good oversize frames?

    I have the Agassi Rads, LM Rads and a POG OS. I think the POG plays a bit differently to the Agassi Rad, probably due to the more open string pattern. And I imagine the same is true with the Donnay. I get crazy topspin with the POG but find it harder to flatten out my shots on a short ball...

    K90 but with a larger head size please!

    You're in luck - there's a K95! Choice of two string patterns to try too. The tigher 18x20 pattern would probably feel closer to the K90, but a lot of club players prefer the more lively 16x18 pattern.

    Agassi L.E. to MG Radical Pro (Grip Weight)

    Interesting. I play with the Agassi LE Rad, was interested in trying to move to a 100 sq in head and had a go with the Rad Pro. Just couldn't get on with it and gave up after about a month. Not a bad racquet, but the Agassi LE was more forgiving and I just hit the ball so much better with it...

    Who thinks Fed would play better with a 95" racquet?

    I guess Fed disagrees with you. But maybe he has less credibility than the average TW poster?

    *** Long Live The Radicals ***

    Still loving the Agassi LE Radical Given the ongoing popularity of this thread, I just thought I'd contribute again to say how much I still love the Radicals. I picked up the Agassi LE Radicals when they came out for a bit of nostalgic old school feel (after playing for years with the iRads...

    Murray uses MG Prest. Pro (pics)

    From all I've heard, I believe Murray used to use the iRadical midplus with a Prestige bumper (for extra weight) and loads of lead. This was before he was a really big name and well after the iRadical was out of production, so no reason to think it was a paintjob. Then Head, keen to get him...

    All RDC stats so far

    Great list - nice to see how the old Slazenger Silhoutte measures up as I used to use that. Are the static weights for strung or unstrung?

    ~~~~~---The Head Extreme club!---~~~~~~
    Similarly to botticelli I've got two Extreme Pros after playing with the Radicals (oversize) for many years. I'm still swapping around between the Extremes and my Agassi LE Radical, but I do like the Extremes a lot. I'm just using them with synthetic gut as I string my own rackets and poly...
    Head Microgel Radical pro?
    Tried it and wanted to like it but didn't. It swings very heavy and doesn't seem to deliver a lot in return. But I've seen a couple of very decent players using it - one of whom has quite flat or sliced strokes. Maybe it suits that kind of game better than my topspin game.
    Arm problems with Microgel Extreme Pro?
    I've been trying the MEP for a while now, alongside my usual Radical. I went into the shop and said I wanted something that would be easy on the elbow but still had some power, and the walked straight over to the rack and picked out the MEP. I was a bit surprised but he assured me it was a...
    Prince Graphite Classic Oversize (TW) Version Review?
    The POG does have a short grip and I also struggle to get both my hands comfortably on to it for a double-handed backhand. The Head Radicals used to be similar but more recent versions have had a longer grip, making the double-hander more comfortable. I love the feel of the POG (and own one)...
    Agassi Ltd Edition Radicals
    No news on these frames, which I guess means they really are a one-off. Such a shame as a Radical with these specs is a superb racquet. I bought two more as I like them so much. Even got used to the yellow and black colour scheme again now! Thanks to TW anyway for the superb service - big...
    Agassi Ltd Edition Radicals
    Hi Robert - if an oversize head is good enough for Agassi then there's no need to make excuses about getting older and windy days! Hope you enjoy your play-test when you get your hands on the frame. I think it has a great weight and balance. Not at all heavy to swing but really lets the...
    Agassi Ltd Edition Radicals
    Hi, I've really enjoyed the Head Agassi Ltd Edition Radical I picked up from TW. I wondered if this racquet will soon disappear with no successor, such as a 'Radical Oversize Pro'? I'm tempted to pick a couple more up at the current price, but also worried about getting too attached to a...
