percept 97

This might be a dumb question but I have a few Percepts 97s, and my favorite racket's grommets are severely damaged and feel much lighter than the new rackets. Can the swing weight affect the damaged and missing grommet pieces? Also do used rackets weigh less compared to new rackets?

I'm getting a new racquet and have narrowed my mind down to either the vcore 98, or percept 97/100d, which one would yall recommend? I've read some reviews online saying the percept 97's low swing weight is a big issue, but has it been an issue for any of you? If so, how should I customize it?
