Ranking All ATP Grand Slam Finalists

Grand Slam Finalists Ranked by Overall Performance (Open Era) A small exercise that I'm sure must have done before but is still quite fun. This was inspired by the Twitter user Patrick Secchi (@secchi62) who performs similar analyses for Athletics. Effectively players are first ranked by number...

    The Ōta Index

This index brings us the best performers on ATP rankings in the XXI Century - or precisely since the great standardisation of the year 2000. Following basic economic axioms (the ones allowing currencies to be exchanged and GDP to be measured) and internationally accepted principles of laws...

Project Your Top 8 for 2021: ATP (and if interested, WTA)

If this has already been done, I apologize, but even if it was, here's a chance to try again. I have not yet refined my own projections, and hope to do so at some point -- if only to look back in November, 2021 and see how bad they were. My hope is that this will be an argument-free thread...

Top10 Tennis Players Ever - Top 10 Greatest Of All Times - Best Players of each Era - Top10 GOATs -

Choosing the Top10 GOATs in the present Golden Era, with Nadal challenging Federer's Grand Slam mark and Djokovic threatening Maestro's #1 Weeks, is already very exciting. Would Murray, Wawrinka or Hewitt fit in? How about bringing into the equation Sampras, Agassi, Borg, Connors, Lendl...

I can't believe I watched the whole thing

(on 2x speed) is my clickbait title ;)... Video of men's top 10 rankings every day from 1990 to 2018. For me it was crazy to see how long Agassi lingered and then how dominant Fed and Djoko became respectively during their peak.

    Attendance records in college tennis

Does anyone know which schools have the best attendance records in NCAA Division I tennis? Apparently ITA puts out rankings but I’ve had a very hard time finding anything.

What Ranking/Rating System(s) Do College Coaches Value the Most?

Hey everyone! I'm a rising junior (class of 2020) from Illinois, and I turned 16 just a few days ago. Due to family issues and other issues I have not been able to play many national tournaments over the past 15 months or so, so I was unable to qualify for the Kalamazoo 16s Hard Court nationals...

Predict the top 10 in 2020 (bump this in 2020)

Just a little fun idea, predict the top 10 in 2020 so we can bump this in 2 years time and laugh at how dumb we were. I’ll be the first to make myself look stupid (or genius) 1. Nadal (much to my disliking, I think Nadal can dominate the rankings for a long time) 2. Chung 3. Zverev (he will...

Given his level of play this year, what would Zverev's ranking be next year with everyone returning?

While I am mighty impressed with Sascha Zverev and think he could be a multiple grand slam winner and a world no 1, I can't help but think that his ranking has been inflated due to the injuries that have plagued Djokovic,Murray,Wawrinka,Raonic and Nishikori. What say?

Overhaul of professional tennis at entry level...overdue

"The ITF Board of Directors has approved a major restructuring of professional tennis at its entry level. The reform programme of changes will include a radical reduction in the number of truly professional players and the creation of a new global ITF Transition Tour in 2019 that will provide...

    Adult Tournaments-Opinion survey

I have gone back and forth a bunch with some of you on Adult tournaments and their viability. I think most of us have common ground in that the participation in tournaments is negligible, for whatever reason; not here to debate the reasons why any more. I am curious to see what people...

Predictions for 2017 end of year rankings? Here's mine..

Here are my rough predictions for how the rankings could look at the end of 2017. (I tried a search but the function gave an error). 1. Murray (12000) - (probable 2 slam winner, at least 3 slam finals, most consistent player on tour) 2. Djokovic (10500) - (probable slam winner, Mr consistency...
