“I personally miss him, I miss him everywhere….. RF is important in every single tournament” - Rafael Nadal

You are a fan of Federer dressed up in the "bromance" called "Fedal".
Come on!

hehe

well it’s been the third or maybe even the second best rivalry in tennis. So think they should go out together. Or Nadal at FO and then Fed at W

Rafa does not sell stories, he replies to reporters/journalists whose job is to create & sell stories - they ask questions for that purpose. The reporter/journalist who asked Rafa a question about Fed, obviously received this task from his boss. Media makers are obviously still paid for mentioning Fed.

Yes 'obviously' they must be paid to mention him. Because that's the only possible reason why someone would ask about Federer at a tournament where he's beloved and holds the record for the most slams.

And you have the gall to call others 'devotees'

If Nadal was absent at RG and other players were asked about him, you'd never say they were paid to do so would you?

Like the last two slams for example
Rafa has had the same pre-Wimbledon schedule since 2017. He has practiced for a week in Mallorca at the club that has hosted WTA and ATP tournaments, and after that, has played a couple of exhibition matches at the Hurlingham club in London. If you were his fan, you would have known this.

Before the FO, he played two clay court tournaments. I wonder how many tournaments you wanted him to play.

Both AO and FO he came unprepared. He said himself he didn’t expect to win either. Obviously he didn’t take into account just how weak this era is.

If you were his fan, you should have known this :/

Hmm. Before the AO, he played an ATP-250 tournament in Melbourne (he won it.) He has never played more tournaments in January before the AO.
He has always said he's not the favourite to win whatever tournament.

When your opponent is able to hit 3 backhanda in a row

yes and before that he didn’t play since like august. So not at all prepared for AO. And not enough match practice before FO either. If you were a fan you would’ve know this

In 2012/2013, he was off the Tour for 7 months. So, not playing for a long time is nothing new to him. If you were his fan, you would’ve known this.

I want him to play 1 tourney- MC from next year 2023 - if he wants to win RG23, forget the rest.

sad that fed is done
when he said he wishes to play one more wimby, it means he does not expect it will happen
a player good at keep the ball playing until the opponent commits a mistake will win him the greatest success no one can match
he still cannot be compared with fed's elegance

yes but then he could prepare properly before FO. I saw him myself in MC. Great 3 setter against Dimitrov. If you were a fan you would’ve known this

We miss the old Federer. No one wants to watch a 41 year old hanging on for dear life like Serena. Theres no importance if they are just going to be demolished in the first round everywhere. Yea I miss prime Agassi/Pete/Courier/Chang too. I loved that era. But I don't want to see them on tour though trying to relive the glory days
Nah, I think Agassi and Connors's last years on tour were a credit to their career and made the sport more entertaining, even if they couldn't win like they used to.

Completely understandable.
They grew up together, competing against each other, and seeing each other at tournaments all the time around the world. It was good for the sport.

And, they are friends.

Eh, I get it either way. I mean I would have been comfortable with a Fed retirement in 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018 or 2019.

Now though it's like old Connors, how long can he go? I'm cool with it. No expectations whatsoever.
