“Isn’t Praised Enough”: Denis Shapovalov Lauds Novak Djokovic

..for Locker-Room Advice Post Semi-Final Loss at Wimbledon Championships 2021.

“He came up to me in the locker room. Told me he knows how difficult it is for me right now but that it’ll all come along. He doesn’t have to do it, it’s very nice from him to do it. He isn’t praised enough”, told Shapovalov.

"Isn't Praised Enough": Denis Shapovalov Lauds Novak Djokovic for Locker-Room Advice Post Semi-Final Loss at Wimbledon Championships 2021 - EssentiallySports

If some fake journalist throwing unfounded and unprofessional opinion of Novak "as a bad guy", with no arguments whatsoever,
can be all over the news (surprise, propaganda) and has a thread here,

then this truth actually should be mentioned - Novak has always been nice and supportive to his peers, and has always stood up for them.

Djokovic did this in order to get liked by public . Such a fake guy .
Why does he want to be liked soo much ??

- Experts and Intellectuals of TTW .
You can't say for sure. If Shapovalov doesn't tell the story to the press, then the story doesn't go public and stays in the locker-room.

Everyone projects his /her own values onto others. What they accuse Djokovic of is what they would do if they were in his shoes.
And they do not even notice they speak about themselves. Mind not aware of itself. Kids.

When Medvedev or Shapovlov speak good about Djokovic there is no advantage, benefit, gain for them except to give respect when it is due and then to expect respect for themselves when it is due. That is how we know they speak facts.

They all know backstage, he's The Earth's Mightiest.....remember how much praise Medvedev had for him in Melbourne after the final?

Absolutely. It was so emotional.

“Just to tell you a small story. First, I practiced with Novak when I was No.500 in the world or No.600 in the world in Monaco. He was already No.1, just won Wimbledon.

“I thought he is not gonna speak to me or something because the guy was a god for me,”
said Medvedev. “Because I was shy, so I didn’t speak, so he was asking me questions and talking to me like a friend.

“I was really surprised then
, it never changed since I was No.600 in the world or No.4 in the world,” added Medvedev.

Exactly, it wasn't like he was asking for it to be said for people to hear, or he did it in front of an audience to get attention, it was in private and was personal.

Problem with Djokovic is not love

It is respect and manners...

I beleive he really does not care about love and crowd but he expects to be recognized as the greatest and for crowd to at least behave when he plays...
Kids crave receiving and giving love. Cause kids are irrational. Just like love is mostly irrational.

Kids also do not understand what respect is. Kids use word respect to avoid using the correct word - fear. Respect is not fear but kids cannot know it. Kids are not rational enough. That is why they crave love. That is why they use word 'respect' for fear.

Adults are rational. That is why adults are about respect. It takes adult human minds who self make themselves ON BOTH ENDS of the relation for respect to happen.

We are not producing enough adults. Hence, we are forced to suffer this infantile 'cult for love' = kids stuff / nonsense in public discourse. And forced to generate profit for all these parasitic Cartels of the 'love' drug for 'kids'.

Kids only know love. Kids live for love. That is why they know for sure that 'Djokovic craves love'. They do not know about respect which is not fear.

Dead simple.

I'm sure Novak did the same in locker room to Fed and Rafa after he beat them but they never revealed it to the public.

OK cool.

The reason I ask is because NK, to my mind, has hinted that his issues with Djokovic stem from such 'isms' he felt coming from the all time great.

I very well may have been misreading.

However, don't act like this hasn't come up before, such as with Hewitt...

Be clear . What " ism " are you talking about ? According to you , Djokovic hasn't been good to which nationality or race as per your perception ?

I stated of color.

I don't believe NK necessarily feels he's a person of color, but he is sensitive to racism given how he feels he was treated in his homeland Australia early on.

The examples I gave about Osaka and Serena should be enough for this particular topic .

And Nick has spoken disrespectful things about most players including Nadal , except his Personal Favourite Federer.
So ,noone knows what is the issue with krgious .

Kyrgios has spoken snidely about Novak (and Rafa too, for that matter), but never to my knowledge has he ever hinted that his animosity stems from any "ism" coming from Novak. Nada. Kyrgios has shot his mouth off a lot - but never AFAIK, stated this. Let's not bring in completely fictional narratives. :)

Novak haters on TTW always said that Novak does such things in order to get liked and is such a fake guy

But every now and then , players like Medvedev , Osaka , Shapovalov etc come up with these stories .
Ah sorry, it was ironical which I didn't get at first.

Seriously I dunno who is a fake guy and who is not. There's so much "communication and buzz" in our world today that it's really hard to say when someone does something on purpose or not. In Djokovic's case - whom I'm not even particularly a fan and I don't dislike him either - it's not the fist time that we've heard such things so whether he did this on purpose or not I don't know but I don't think he's a bad guy. Sincere in many cases I guess, so why not here?

Yes. Keep kissing the rear of the player that beat you just like Thiem, just like Medvedev etc. This is the problem. These guys just don't want it as bad as the big three and it shows in their reactions.

You know I used to never take Djokovic seriously back in the day, I never saw him as a player who could consistently challenge Nadal/Federer for slams. I was wrong, it seems throughout Djokovic's career he's made a habit of proving people wrong and that's a great quality to have.

My one criticism of Djokovic which stands to this day is that he should embrace the negative crowd reactions he's got when playing Nadal or Federer or an underdog, playing the bad guy doesn't mean you're a bad guy.

With a 20th slam on the horizon it's becoming very difficult to ignore that Djokovic is the greatest Male player of the Open Era.

And that's why these guys NEVER win. You need to have a f*** you attitude like Soderling did against Nadal.
When Pete used to lose, he looked like his dog died and he couldn't wait to get revenge.
The next gen are too happy to lose, to defer, to praise their GOAT opponent etc etc.
You need to have the FIRE and the DESIRE to win. That comes when you believe in yourself, not when you praise your opponent..

I have absolutely no burden when it comes to you or your insecurities. If asking a question about your tennis idol hitting with young players of color (the way he does with those of Eastern European heritage Shapo and Meddy as was brought up in this thread) bothers you so much, I suggest you ask yourself why!

Otherwise you can stay uninformed.
You have no burden apart from the basic requirement of intellectual honesty. As in, not to make snide insinuations when there is not one shred of evidence supporting it. You started by claiming that Kyrgios "hinted that his issues with Djokovic stem from such 'isms' he felt coming from the all time great". The very fact that no such thing had ever been hinted by Kyrgios, has been repeatedly brought to your attention. Instead of a mea culpa, you are going on and on. I would suggest there are more important things than "winning" arguments on TTW. Making truthful statements ranks as more important, wouldn't you say?

It is true, my interpretation of such at least which I admitted to, and I have discussed it on this forum. It's not my fault the thread was deleted. Again, search and YE shall find.

And even if NK said nothing close to what I interpreted he said, my question remains - has Djokovic hit with young players of color the way he has with Shapo and Meddy who are of eastern European heritage.

I don't know why that question offends so many of you???

I'm not at all offended by what is plainly a fishing expedition :) you do what you do, it's fine. Others can see it for the dissembling it is, and that is also fine.

How is that any different from Roddick kissing Fed's behind after being whooped time and again?

Have never read anywhere about Djok racism remarks or anything suggesting something even remotely close...just for the record. So he likes the company of "Eastern" European guys better... I know it's far from racist abuse or whatever but Eastern Europeans (and some Central Europeans, too) don't have it particularly easy in Western Europe either (by their own fault to some degree, can't tell from experience how it is in US, Down under, etc...), being regarded as "Ostblock" folk and all. Only natural you tend to spend more time with someone who understands you better and vice versa.

Shapo played amazing tennis, it isn’t easy to defeat the greatest player of 21st century. No shame in losing such a close match.

I think informed tennis fans know Djokovic is the greatest modern player of all time and respect his GOAT level and accomplishments. The dislike comes from Fedal fanboys

Personally if I was Shapo I would be pissed off and wouldn't want to hear anything Djokovic said. Djokovic is basically telling you "hey I'm better than you and when I get really old and my level drops significantly you should be able to win a few tournaments" I would take what Djokovic said as an insult.

Nick is an Aussie who's father is Greek, and his mother Malaysian. His father is as white as snow(not even an olive complexion).

He acts as if he is from Compton, but in reality grew up as a typica middle class lAussie kid in Canberra.

Canberra is basically a country town, filled with public servants, Aussies call their capital.

He is as fake as they come. Racism my bu77.

I grew up as a Greek Australian, and although their were racial slurs, I gave as good as I got. Never felt threatened or disadvantaged because of it.

I hate these politically correct times with a passion. Gives cowards a leg up.

And Nick in this instance is a jealous coward.

Novak just beats Next Gen guy in a close slam SF or F:

Novak: Hey, I know this is difficult for you, but don't worry, things will turn around for you.

NG guy: Eff off, you phony a-hole.
