“Kerber doesn’t count because”.... latest Serena excuse

I actually thought I'd misheard that in the Press Conference. Clearly not.
But she wasn't especially happy with the last question.
Although it did sound churlish, she may have meant she wasn't upset about losing the Kerber final because she'd had a baby.
Still, not especially diplomatic.

Must suck to be Kerber and hear that your grand slam win "doesn't count" because of your opponent's life choices. It's similar to Federer saying "well, the Cilic loss in 2014 US Open doesn't count because I overate that morning and became really sluggish during the match."

Sure, maybe if that didn't happen you could have performed better, but still give credit where it's due.

I think she means she doesn't mind the loss like she minds the others

Everyone I know who's had a baby recently have been zombified the first year or so, so I don't doubt it was tough

Serena, "but I am A Mother"!!!!!! Federer, while he is only a Father, of 2 sets of twins, but that is no excuse, I can her the Feminizes declare.

Shalom

The great thing about her is that what she really thinks will always eventually come out.
That's the main difference between her and Federer, who rarely lets his sense of entitlement be seen.
