Nadal said in an interview this year that he wants to retire with 25 slams.
And Nadal is known for underestimating himself, so I'm pretty sure he'll win more than 25.

Probably not 4 more, but definitely would take it over him staying at 20. He'll win at least 1 of the next 4 RGs, more than likely 2-3, let alone any other slam.

I can really see a 38 year old Rafa winning Roland Garros + 2024 Olympic Gold in the Philippe Chatrier back to back.

And i'm not even joking, this is a real possibility with the modern technology all these elites athletes have.

Do you see him playing 4 more years and participating and fighting for the gold medal in Paris 2024?

4 more almost feels like the lowball end of the spectrum if we give him a minimum of 2 more French Opens (no one is close to him there). Rafa himself is aiming for 25. And he is the kind of guy to give conservative estimates. If everything goes right and he has some more 2 slam years, a number like 27 is actually possible. And that would have seemed ridiculous not long ago.

So I'd take that bet in a heartbeat.

What weird poll choices.
I would say Rafa will win between 1-3 more. 4 seems too much (but I can see Djokovic getting that much).

So if i bet you that Nadal wont win 25 slams, you will accept right?

I will not bet on 0 or 4. Why there is no option for 1,2,3? When you bet online you have every option available.

He's probably not winning 4 more so if they were the only two options, I'd go with no more but I think he'll end up with 21, maybe 22 if things go right for him.

Unless he keeps the physical exercise high into his late 30’s and 40’s possibly, I see him hitting the wall around 38/39, similar to Fed where you just aren’t what you were at 24/25.

What exactly is this modern technology you speak of?

It's called "the evolution of the human legs (and torso, and arms)".

Rafa has the latest goods.

Y'all surely read that Swiatek's pop was an Olympic team rower (= strength / stamina / power-to-weight ratio, etc.). But, as they say, "You can't pick your parents."

Human beings evolving isn’t “modern technology.” Also, I don’t believe there’s any proof that humans have evolved recently that would make them better tennis players.

The gist of my statement blew by you like a Djokovic DTL backhand winner. Just. Wow.

It can be hard to know when a player has won his last Slam, but I think it's more likely that Nadal wins four more than not winning any more at all, as long as he's in good shape. He seemed very motivated and his movement looked pretty sharp last Sunday.
