Djokovic contact point (from Hawkeye):

- previous matches here, 1.06m
- today, 1.28m

if I got it correctly, which shows how much higher Nadal's ball kicks

Rafa is now reading the direction of the shots coming at him better, so he is mounting a more sure defense.

Nadal is actually defending well off the BH, but not hitting rudimentary rally BHs too well...

Depth is back now... Rafa is loose...

Matter of time to take care of Novak... Big question is if he's straight set Novak or not.

I think both these players are capable of momentarily intimidating each other due to their ferocious competitive spirits. We saw a rattled Rafa and now Nole himself is slightly taken aback by the resilience of the Spaniard.

Nole is reluctant to hit DTL to the forehand of Nadal. That was a brutal rally.

Masterful rally by Rafa... wins longest rally of hte match so far...

Novak's moment of glory is up... he might still get the set, but the match is out of reach imo...

Nadal winning because of Djoker errors only. We all see that don't we?
That is simplifying it, sure Novak made a couple of errors but the reality is that we've seen time and again players even dominate Nadal for stretches of the match on clay but being unable to keep up that high level of play needed to beat Nadal, he's relentless and eventually wears you down.

Djokovic is not Federer.
