10 character minimum

TW Staff, is there a way for you to get rid of the 10 character minimum for posts. I know I am not the only one who doesn't like it.

Other posters, if you agree with me reply to this thread.

It's alright once you think about what it's there for.....so people dont give answers like 'Yes'......its so that people give explanations as well. And if you're so determined that you're only going to type one word, just go ..........

Well sometimes there is no need for an explanation. Like if someone asks if you like x because of y. There would be no need to explain why you like x then.

Uh, Hello. Does this question exist? Sorry to be impatient but I asked a week ago.
Just wanted to make sure you see the question because the 10 character minimum really anoys me and I would like to see if you can do something about it. Thanks in advance.

I think this is a good rule, it encourages people to write longer and more thoughtful posts. This is a message board, not a chat room. It's designed for people to leave messages for others, not 3 character replies.

There is this rule and the 30 seconds between post rules that help to deter those outrageously shallow threads about "live match discussions" with one-liners back and forth. In a chat room setting, it would be easy to follow such a conversation, but it's a pain in the butt to read on here.

After watching the Hewitt-Federer final, I came on here and saw one of those "live discussions," which was like 200 messages long. I started to read it from the beginning but simply couldn't read it all, it was all stream of consciousness drivel (well most of it).

Sorry for the late reply.

We will be keeping the 10 character minimum - cuts down on the SPAM and promotes better content.

Chris, TW.

The late reply is ok, I was just starting to wonder what happened. And I will try to deal with it the 10 letter thing. Can't say I can very well but I will try.
