currently federer has earned $76 million dollars in prize money. i think he will be the first tennis player to cross $100 million dollars in prize money. where as nadal has earned $50 million dollars and djokovic has earned $45 million dollars...........

Increase in prize/money every year and inflation makes it difficult to compare. Nadal $50 mil isn't necessary means it has more value than Pete's $43 mil.

Tennis is a growing sport, forever changing. It's hard to piece and compare from the past.

That's $76M in prize money. He has probably earned that much again in exhibition and endorsement contracts. I have heard estimates as high as $40M per year for Federer and $20M for Sharapova inclusive of all earnings. The golfer, Phil Nikelson, has estimated total annual income of $60M per year.

Federer is Swiss and he should have a good selection of investment bankers available to him. I would offer a SWAG that Federer has $50M to $100M invested. That kind of money will pay an annual income of $1-2M for the next 60+ years if invested in a good mix of stocks, bonds and mutual funds - nothing fancy just common sense and heavily diversified.

I think Fed passed the 100 million net worth a while ago. With all his endorsements on top of prize money I wouldn't be surprised if he was hitting almost 40-50 mill a year.

Probably is an understatement. He's been earning on average more than $40m per year for the past 5 years alone according to the Forbes estimates...

Their estimate from July 2011 to July 2012 was $54.3m.

Federer's previous Forbes estimates were 2011: $47m, 2010: $43m, 2009: $33m... (Sports Illustrated estimated 2010 quite differently, saying it was more like $62m).

Given these sort of numbers, how they're often on the low side and the likelihood he's invested wisely (Credit Suisse might be part of that equation since he's a major part of their marketing) Federer would be worth $250m minimum imo. Considering the sponsorships he has and his longevity I'd be surprised if it was lower - and it could be a lot higher too.

For sure, probably more.

Fed is always in the top few highest grossing athletes. I wouldn't be surprised is his net worth was around 400 million if he is properly invested.
