The last clash between Joker and Bull in the quarter-final at Internazionali BNL d'Italia in Rome was very very impressive. Seriously speaking ,THIS Nadal is the best Nadal I have ever seen in the recent two years. Nadal had tried his best to challenge Djokovic, using everything he can do even including some match plans which are not his style. But Nadal failed again, a better lose.I think Nadal can see something positive in this try.If he keeps focus and believes in himself,he may have some chance to defeat Djokovic at FO. Just like what Nadal said after the AO final in 2012(this match was close too),he will feel more confident when facing off Djokovic next time.If these two guys have to fight at FO this year(the earliest round maybe quarter-final),this match will be worth while.

This Nadal is the best seen outside.
Inside, those balls have a shrinkage problem when he sees Joker at the other end.

Nadal's post match presser included this gem:

Q: Earlier Novak stated that this was the best match you have played against him for quite some time. He also seemed to indicate that he wasn’t 100%. How do you assess your level and did you see anything in Novak’s play today that indicated he wasn’t at full capacity?

A: Well he was running down every ball. The first set points was incredible gets, so no reason to think he was not at his best ability. I think for sure my level is getting better and better. At this rate, I should be at my absolute peak in 2020. (laughter)

wow, the tennis we will see when both djoko and nadal will peak at the same time in 5 years when they are 35!
of course then Federer will be number 1 again, cause his ammassed experience causes him to reach a new level of peakness at age 40, peakolution.

According to some people 30 is the new 25, why not 40 is the new 30?

It was an incredible match. Nadal even admits he played really well, and he did. Djokovic is truly his kryptonite these days. I honestly think the only way he wins another slam (or 2, or 3) is avoiding Djokovic altogether. If someone takes Djokovic out he can easily win RG and probably will, and has a shot at any other slam apart from probably Wimbledon.

Yes and Fed got mauled by 90-100% Nadal.
