1. Yes, I am betring on Ben Shelton to win a masters
2. Most probably Alcaraz or Sinner
3. Djokovic
4. Medvedev
5. No One
6. Nope, he will further decline, I don't see him winning anything with that attitude
7. He will not be able to defend
8. Yes
9. For sure
10. Nope, he will bounce back in top 5
11. Definitely, spanish never dies
12. Not a chance
13. Nope, he will not be winning any of these
14. Nope, he will further find his form

1. Will we have a new masters champion in 2024? If so, who?
No.

2. Who wins the most ATP titles in 2024?
Carlos Alcaraz Garfia

3. Who wins the most masters titles in 2024?
Carlos Alcaraz Garfia

4. Who makes the most finals in 2024?
Carlos Alcaraz Garfia

5. Will we have a new grand slam champion in 2024, if so, who?
No.

6. Will Holger Rune make significant progress under Boris ‘Boom Boom’ Becker in 2024?
Yes he will. I expect him to be a regular QF-ist at all slams and have 1 slam semi.

7. Will Carlos Alcaraz defend his Wimbledon crown in 2024? If so, who will he relinquish it to?
Too early to tell whether he'd replicate his 2023 grass form in 2024. Even this year, it appeared completely out of nowhere, taking everyone by surprise.

8. Will Andrey Rublev remain a player in the top ten?
Definitely he will.

9. Will Alexander Zverev be competitive at the grand slam level again in 2024?
I expect him to make 3 QFs and atleast one semi. So yeah, pretty competitive.

10. Will Stefanos Tsitsipas drop out of the top ten in 2024?
After AO he will, because I don't see him defending the final there. He may enter top 10 again after clay season though.

11. Rafa Nadal. Is he still a threat to the top four at majors? Will he win another title again?
Too early to call at this stage, I'd have to see him play a competitive match first. If fit & healthy, he'd be the top contender at RG.

12. Will Jannik Sinner beat Novak Djokovic in a best of five in 2024?
Not unless Djokovic plays like his 2017 self.

13. Will Jannik Sinner win one of the two most important titles in his country? The Rome Masters or the ATP finals in Turin in 2024?
Rome, no. ATP finals, probably.

14. Will we see a decline from Daniil Medvedev in 2024?
In terms of peak level and danger to top players, he's declined since 2021. But consistency - wise, I think he'd not decline for atleast 2 more seasons. I don't expect him to defend the loads of points he accumulated post - AO though.

He’s a non factor on outdoor hardcourt and his forehand is too weak for me seeing him take out a top 4 seed at a slam

1. Will we have a new masters champion in 2024? If so, who? - Yes, I think so, but no sure who.
2. Who wins the most ATP titles in 2024? - Alcaraz and Sinner
3. Who wins the most masters titles in 2024? - Alcaraz
4. Who makes the most finals in 2024? - Alcaraz and Sinner
5. Will we have a new grand slam champion in 2024, if so, who? - Only Sinner can pull this off IMO.
6. Will Holger Rune make significant progress under Boris ‘Boom Boom’ Becker in 2024? - Yes, he will. He will be joining Alcaraz and Sinner at the top soon.
7. Will Carlos Alcaraz defend his Wimbledon crown in 2024? If so, who will he relinquish it to? - I think Djokovic reclaims the title.
8. Will Andrey Rublev remain a player in the top ten? - Yes, he is far too consistent not to.
9. Will Alexander Zverev be competitive at the grand slam level again in 2024? - Well, he had a good RG this year also, and made quarters of USO. so he is already there.
10. Will Stefanos Tsitsipas drop out of the top ten in 2024? - There is a very good chance this happens at the start of the year after AO, but I do feel he will find his way back later in the season.
11. Rafa Nadal. Is he still a threat to the top four at majors? Will he win another title again? - He will always be a threat. Not sure if he wins another, need to see him play first, but if he does, it will be RG
12. Will Jannik Sinner beat Novak Djokovic in a best of five in 2024? - This is the REAL question IMO, we will have to wait and see.
13. Will Jannik Sinner win one of the two most important titles in his country? The Rome Masters or the ATP finals in Turin in 2024? - He has a legit shot at Turin for sure. Rome, he will be one of the contenders.
14. Will we see a decline from Daniil Medvedev in 2024? I think he will be steady and consistent in 2024, no real decline, but he could be surpassed by a few players

I just want the king to slay. Everything else is kind of uninteresting to me in comparison.
I agree, glad we are in the same page ;)

1 Will we have a new masters champion in 2024? If so, who?
NO. I think Djokovic, Alcaraz, Sinner, Medvedev, Zverev, Rune win all. Maybe guys like Hurkacz Rublev or Fritz can win another one but no new winner.

2. Who wins the most ATP titles in 2024?
Sinner with 7 or 8

3. Who wins the most masters titles in 2024?
Alcaraz. 3 minumum

4. Who makes the most finals in 2024?
Too uncertain

5. Will we have a new grand slam champion in 2024, if so, who?
Yes. Sinner in Wimbledon or USO. More likely USO.

6. Will Holger Rune make significant progress under Boris ‘Boom Boom’ Becker in 2024?
NO. Maybe he will stagnate or make small progress but not significant. Win a Masters, climb a few rankings, maybe #5.

7. Will Carlos Alcaraz defend his Wimbledon crown in 2024? If so, who will he relinquish it to?
NO. He will win other Wimbledon but not in 2024. Djokovic will take it back.

8. Will Andrey Rublev remain a player in the top ten?
YES. But no Masters for him. He'll be between #7 and #9.

9. Will Alexander Zverev be competitive at the grand slam level again in 2024?
Another Slam semifinal, maybe a final but no slam title.

10. Will Stefanos Tsitsipas drop out of the top ten in 2024?
He will finish the year between #8 and #15. So, not sure. Maybe.

11. Rafa Nadal. Is he still a threat to the top four at majors? Will he win another title again?
Another title, yes. A 500 or a 1000. Another Slam, no. Slam semifinal maximum.
A threat, yes. No one will want to face him in the 1st rounds of Slams if he is healthy. Not even in Australia.

12. Will Jannik Sinner beat Novak Djokovic in a best of five in 2024?
No. But if it happens, USO is the most likely place.

13. Will Jannik Sinner win one of the two most important titles in his country? The Rome Masters or the ATP finals in Turin in 2024?
Definitely not Rome. I'd say no for Turin. But he'll win it in the future, at least once.

14. Will we see a decline from Daniil Medvedev in 2024?
Small decline maybe. He is #3, I think he'll be #4 or #5.

A must? Why is a devalued CIE title a must for him?

Nothing is a must for a player who has won as much as he has.
The best of five sets will be very difficult for him at this point, although it is true that the Paris final will be played under that format, the players only needs to win 10 sets to reach the last match of the competition, unlike a GS tournament where they need to win 18 sets to reach the decisive match.
There he will have a better chance of winning something important.
Devalued CIE titles are not important, remember? ;)
Olympic gold is every four years, it transcends sport, you know that, right?
:)

It's his last chance to say goodbye by winning something important.
:D
im smelling even more strongly that wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen, i asked the waiter who is cooking today, he answered, dsh, and then been told to the waiter to convey the request to the chef to put less of that marvelous spice that is wafting into the hall;)

You don't know what Nadal can or cannot do until you watch him play. Who knows, he might be tearing up the clay season again and winning RG.

As for your last comment, it doesn't matter if it is happening every four years, it is still the same players, the same field competing....the same defenseless puppies as you like to say. It has no value according to you in this CIE, yet you want it for Nadal. Don't be cheering Nadal onto win worthless inflated titles that mean nothing, we know they don't mean anything. :)

1. Yes but it won't be who people think. Either an upstart like Fils or a rando like Norrie

2-4. Djokovic

5. No new GS champ

6. No. Rune has plateaued and the Halep thing was a disaster for him

7. No--Djokovic

8. Yes, barely

9. Yes, barely

11. I don't think so anymore but don't count him out ever

I highly value the Olympic competition, since it makes the national athlete a hero/ heroin in the eyes of his/her fellow nationals, above his/ her personal success on the tour.
It makes him/her much more popular.

It's still the same defenseless puppies. It is about the strength of the field, what does it say for the game when a 38 almost retired player wins the olympics over the players who are meant to be in their peaks?

You are contradicting your own statements. This is CIE for you, yes? How can one title among all that be still valued. LOL :D

I am only referring to the value that people on the street give much greater importance to the Olympic Games than to tour competitions.
We leave the "rest" for forums like this one, where the level of the tennis players is analyzed and compared and the discussions are hotter.

1. Will we have a new masters champion in 2024? If so, who?
No.

2. Who wins the most ATP titles in 2024?
Djokovic .

3. Who wins the most masters titles in 2024?
Djokovic or Sinner.

4. Who makes the most finals in 2024?
Alcaraz.

5. Will we have a new grand slam champion in 2024, if so, who?
No.

6. Will Holger Rune make significant progress under Boris ‘Boom Boom’ Becker in 2024?
Yes, Becker is truly great coach. I predict Rune will reach two QF and one SF at slams.

7. Will Carlos Alcaraz defend his Wimbledon crown in 2024? If so, who will he relinquish it to?
No, Djokovic takes it.

8. Will Andrey Rublev remain a player in the top ten?
Yes, he is gatekeeper, but he will probably reach three or even four QF at slams and have quite decent results at masters. Should be enough to stay in top ten.

9. Will Alexander Zverev be competitive at the grand slam level again in 2024?
Yes he will. He will be very dangerous at French Open and US Open i think.

10. Will Stefanos Tsitsipas drop out of the top ten in 2024?
Don't think so. I think he will regain his form. Not sure if he comes back to his old 2021 form, but should play much better than this year. Especially that he is still at his physical peak.

11. Rafa Nadal. Is he still a threat to the top four at majors? Will he win another title again?
Realistically it is really hard to imagine that he is going to be competitive, but Rafa is Rafa. We have seen this pattern hundreds of times. Every time he came back stronger and played extremely good. I will never count him out.

12. Will Jannik Sinner beat Novak Djokovic in a best of five in 2024?
No. Too weak physically and mentally. He will be great at BO3 at times though. Just like Zverev in the last couple of years.

13. Will Jannik Sinner win one of the two most important titles in his country? The Rome Masters or the ATP finals in Turin in 2024?
No. He has a change at ATP Finals, because looks like courts suits him, but very low chance to succeed at Rome.

14. Will we see a decline from Daniil Medvedev in 2024?
He will be huge threat at hard court slams: AO and US Open that is. I don't think he will repeat his clay success from this year. So besides worse clay season i think he will have kinda similar season to 2023.

Yes, well, people give grand slams and titles like Wimbledon value also on the streets. LOL

It's our very small corner of the internet that likes to devalue titles with CIE and weak era talk. The people on the streets still see slams as the biggest titles in tennis.

You are wanting the SOG for Nadal, I get it, but the way you are trying to say that that is the ONE title that has any meaning, despite being played for by the same defensless puppies shows it's all about what Nadal wins and what Djokovic wins that determines whether it is valued or not. How can the same field be seen as competitive for Olympics, then one month later a joke for USO?

If you were consistent, you wouldn't be wanting CIE titles for your guy. It's below him to vulture, right? :giggle:

Ask people on the street what Grand Slam tournaments exist and I highly doubt they know which ones and how many there are, on the other hand, the Olympic Games are world-famous in people's imagination.
A medal on the podium makes the athlete from his country a hero/heroine much more recognized among the people than for winning a Major title.
:D

Everyone knows what sport Wimbledon belongs to. I've travelled the world plenty of times and I ask this question always from the guy driving the taxi from the airport to someone I meet in a random coffeeshop where the discussion goes beyond 10 minutes.

Wimbledon will always be the pinnacle of tennis, and record breaking numbers at all four slams this year tells me you don't really understand that the people on the street do value these events....who in their right mind would be spending hundreds of dollars to go watch devalued things?

Lets say it for what it is - If Nadal was still on top, you wouldn't be talking about weak this, or weak that, you wouldn't be talking about career inflation and defenseless puppies, I mean you didn't say a single thing when Nadal was ahead in the slam race. But now for a title that will have the same field competing for it, the same defensless puppies, it wouldn't be a vulturing by your idol, it will be a winning an important title which cannot be devalued. I wonder how your tone will change if Djokovic manages to take that SOG also. :p

Anyways, that's enough pulling your leg. LOL :alien:

It would be a great way for him to go out. Let’s just hope he’s healthy and competitive in all the big tournaments and gives us those epic Rafa moments and new highlights to watch with crispy wings :D

heroine is a nice word, funny thinkin not about that but about that magical substance similar to which tony montana wuuved to take diligently, hm interesting why creators of language created cocaine but heroin not heroine, probably maybe coz they didn’t want there to be any ambiguity and not to involve a woman in any way in these dirty affairs, which was a good decision i guess:giggle:

I hope he stays healthy and goes out on his own terms. He has earned that right. It was sad not to see Federer go out on his own terms. Hopefully Nadal can.

If you don't admit that your idol has been much more successful in his 30s, winning 12 Major titles in 23 appearances, as opposed to his 20s, in which he won 12 Major titles in 40 appearances due the new generations of tennis players are much weaker than before, there's not much more to discuss, bro.

He still has a chance to get the DCGS if he wins in Paris 2024.
:)

I hope he wins even more. But I'm not calling it a CIE or devaluing any titles...you are. Just find it cute that you are going around in circles to explain how one title among all those during this CIE is immune to vulturing because of people on the streets. 8-B

After AO and FO22 i’m not putting any pressure on him to win trophies lol. If he’s actually fully healthy, they’ll come but if they don’t it’s fine. A 38yo really shouldn’t be winning the biggest titles on tour and only 1 man has a better career than him. Id have signed that deal with a sharp ass pen in 07 8-B

He needs to "vulture" something before finishing his career, as his archrival has constantly done in recent times.
:D

Norrie did win IW, so yeah, could be a random player like him.

Right that was exactly my point. He has an M1000 title and no one saw that coming.

With the amount of parity we have on the tour once you get past the Big Three Minus Two, some dude like Dan Evans or Mannarino can win a M1000 if the draw falls apart.

This will be an interesting era. We're approaching the end of the primes for players like Zverev and TPas and Rublev and Medvedev. But the younger guys are still not ready. I think this is a recipe for Djoko winning another 7-10 Slams in the next three years.

No, I'm just saying that medals in the Olympic Games are much more important to the people of a country than the Major titles won by a tennis player.
People consider them more as "theirs" than the other way around.
But don't worry, ordinary people are not very interested in discussions about the tennis level of each generation.
That's why these kinds of tennis sites exist.
:D

Yes, but that still doesn't automatically make the competition from weak to strong, does it? Which is my point. It's still the same defenseless puppies regardless, they don't automatically become superior players for one week of the year and then suck again. 8-B

Anyways, none of what we say matters in the real world. We're just a bunch of freaks living in our small corner of cyber space. LOL

Well, there's 12 Slams for the next three seasons, no?

He plays ombeleebul, no?

Who else looks ready to win seven matches in a row, and go through Djoko plus Jannicarlos? Literally no one

7 to 10 slams is way too much IMO.

I get he is going to be contention for a while, as I myself said he will be competitive until 40, but I was thinking a slam a year personally. The younger players are only going to get better.

He won 3 this year bro, and was a missed bunny away from the CYGS. And at the WTF he looked like he had actually increased the gap between him and Jannicarlos

Younger players can get better all they want. That's not going to do it. You need ATG talent to get past this guy. Even Alcaraz has meekly handed his mojo back to Djokovic with an apology and a promise never to do it again.

I think he will certainly fall victim to upsets from guys like Musetti but not when it's a major event.

This year was like a revenge tour for him. I wouldn't put too much into the WTF, it was super fast indoor conditions, only really Federer would beat that Djokovic.

I'm not saying Djokovic will not win more slams, he will, but it will get harder for sure. You never know when it simply dries up.

Federer won 3 out 4 slams he played and never won another. Nadal won two in a row and then hasn't done anything due to what happened with him. Who knows what the future holds for Djokovic, at his age, it can go very very quickly. He's on top right now, yes, but he isn't going to be able to hold them all off by himself for too long.

Dude we are talking about 3 Slams IN A SEASON lol.

He has won 3 in 2021, 1 in 2022 for obvious reasons, and 3 this year.

So when he is healthy and eligible, three Slams per season is the expectation.

Lets see. Maybe you are right. I'm thinking no more than two slams a season at best now.

1. Will we have a new masters champion in 2024? If so, who? No, Djokovic wins all four.
2. Who wins the most ATP titles in 2024? Djokovic.
3. Who wins the most masters titles in 2024? Djokovic.
4. Who makes the most finals in 2024? Djokovic.
5. Will we have a new grand slam champion in 2024, if so, who? No. Djokovic wins all four.
6. Will Holger Rune make significant progress under Boris ‘Boom Boom’ Becker in 2024? No. Djokovic will beat him everywhere.
7. Will Carlos Alcaraz defend his Wimbledon crown in 2024? If so, who will he relinquish it to? No, Djokovic will dethrone him.
8. Will Andrey Rublev remain a player in the top ten? No, Djokovic will take him out.
9. Will Alexander Zverev be competitive at the grand slam level again in 2024? No, Djokovic will take him to the cleaner.
10. Will Stefanos Tsitsipas drop out of the top ten in 2024? Yes, Djokovic will take him out.
11. Rafa Nadal. Is he still a threat to the top four at majors? Will he win another title again? No, he's done 1000 years ago.
12. Will Jannik Sinner beat Novak Djokovic in a best of five in 2024? No.
13. Will Jannik Sinner win one of the two most important titles in his country? The Rome Masters or the ATP finals in Turin in 2024? No, Djokovic will beat him at both tournaments.
14. Will we see a decline from Daniil Medvedev in 2024? Yes, Djokovic will make him decline.

If Djoko figures out Carlos and it looks like he is, it's curtains for the rest of the Mubadala ATP Champions Tour until Djoko decides he doesn't want to play anymore.

He has Sinner's number, so it's possible that the next few years look a lot like this one.
