15 year old tennis

Hi, I was just wondering, are there any other players here that are 15? Or give or take a year. Or does anyone have any videos of teenagers around that age playing? I just wanted to compare myself, because I'm turning 15 this year, and I just want an idea of how good the players are.

Thanks

Should I film myself? It'd be hard to film me and my team mates when we're training though... xD

There is a very wide disparity in the ability level of 15 year olds. In this area, the average HS sophomore fililng out the roster on an average team is probably equivalent to high 3.0 - low 3.5 on the NTRP scale. On the other hand, there are kids training for tennis and playing USTA junior tournaments at the top of the HS tennis ladder that can take it to 5.0 level former-D1-playing teaching pros.

I turned 16 last month :) but I'm probably a low 4 or a high 3.5 on the ntrp scale. I'm fast enough and I can hit very consistently now..but I have a couple of videos of me playing on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/blazingswrd At the time of the video, I played good enough to play singles 6 on my varsity team. My form has gotten a lot better after this season of tennis.

16, I have some vids but they're old and I'm tons better now, I'll try and film some recent hitting. My footwork is still a joke though haha. Here's an old video.
I swear my footwork is never THAT bad in an actual match though... or if it was, it actually HAS gotten better. But everything has, this was from almost a year ago and I practice a little obsessively.

*Raises hand*

Yup, I turn 17 right away here. I play at a mid-high 4.0 on my less then average days, but once I'm in full season playing at around 5-6 days a week I'm able to compete at a 4.5 with decent results! :)

On a high school tennis team, you could find players ranging anywhere from like..2.5 to a 4.5. Average is probably a 3.0.

Yeah, our top player is a nationally ranked guy who regularly beats average teaching pros. It's a really great experience to get to play with him, but I do feel a little for him, haha. But the people on HS teams range a ton. There's a lot of really good people, but also some complete junk players who have literally never tried tennis before in their lives.
