18-0

This was my favorite streak-ender. :)

Id be surprised if he even goes through the sunshine double undefeated.
Almost losing against pigeon Gael isn't someone who looks unbeatable.

If he somehow wins IW and Miami ( presuming hes playing both ), then he still has his worst surface to contend with straight after.

Its not happening, and it shows the state of modern fans, that in the 2nd month of the year, people are discussing an unbeaten streak....

Who can beat him right now though? Nobody even believes anymore. Players really give up against him before the match even starts. As we saw yesterday, even a 6-2 3-1 lead and 3 matchpoints (2 on serve) are not enough for them. It doesn't matter how close his opponents will be to winning, they will always find a way to choke.

Exactly.
Every year djok wins AO people start seeing RG title

A Djokovic loss would actually put me at ease strangely enough as he would otherwise be due for one at a slam. I've seen countless times an individual/team dominate regular season and fall at the first hurdle post season.

After that choke from Monfils I really start to think that Djokovic will not lose a match in 2020. It doesn't matter how close his opponents will get to winning, they will always choke it.
Yep.
He doesn’t even have to do anything. Just keep the ball in play and watch Monfils/thiem etc whoever make errors and bash the ball outside the lines.

Dude, we (non-Djokovic fans) have trust in the Nadal to win on clay against Djokovic at least once in the M1000 series on clay. That's enough to end the unbeaten streak before grabbing McEnroe's record.

If he were to win the sunshine double, he really would set himself up very well for a charge at the weeks at #1 record. That double would see him pass Sampras's total of 286, and it would make it all but impossible for anyone other than maybe Nadal to deny him Federer's total of 310.

Of course, winning the sunshine double is far from easy.

Im saying the same as you, why does it sound like youre correcting or disagreeing with me ?

Im saying its doubtful he wins both IW and Miami, nevermind going through the clay season unbeaten.
Im confident its still Nadals to lose this year, and if he were to meet Djokovic in 2 Masters and RG, he should be winning at least 2/3.
He showed last year in Rome, not even at his best form himself , that hes still better than Djokovic on clay.

Do you think Nadal can beat him?

I thought Monfils played one of his best matches ever against Novak for two sets the other day, Novak thought so too. The problem for Gael is that his stamina is not strong enough for three sets against an in form Novak, Rafa or Federer.
