1997radical tour mp vs 1998radical tour mp?

Has anyone hit with both the 1997 radical tour mp(yellow, gray, black, and red) and the 1998 radical tour mp(zebra striped black and white and yellow)? I currently have the 1997 radical tour and am looking for another one but they're hard to find. How does the 1998 compare? I really like the 1997 one - love it because of the flex, weight, feel, and stability. Will the 1998 be ok for a replacement racquet?

Thanks

The 1998 version is lighter and less stable than the 1997 version. I have always preferred the 1997 version due to its unique feel. Rather than settling for the inferior 1998 version, you should look for more 1997 frames online. There are currently three of them available on **** (item #7125045181) at: http://cgi.****.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7125045181

I have both in the oversize version and GREATLY prefer the 1997 (y/g/b/r) over the 1998 version. Just a more comfortable ride and I always had incredibly more control with the 1997 version.

FWIW, I've only hit with the OS versions, but the 97 was several grams heavier and, although it had the same flex as the 98, I felt it was in a different place that gave it less feedback than the 98. Weight is a non issue. You can have the 98 matched to your 97s anyway.

whats the weight and swingweight of the 1997 mp vs the 1998? If I do indeed already have the 98...I feel its already quite heavy and stable...heavier than any other mp racquet i've tried. I'm afraid I wont be able to handle the weight.
