2-Handed Backhand Strengthening Exercises?

    Does anybody know any good exercises that strengthens and targets the muscles utilized in a 2HBH?

    Preferably, dumbbell exercises. I don't have easy access to a gym, and all I can really use are dumbbells, the floor, and my own weight.

    Honestly, I think you should focus on training your core. Those are utilized most in the 2 handed backhand. There's an array of strength training exercises you can utilize. Just make sure to train your whole core, including you lower back.

    Strengthen your core, focus on technique, and sharpen your timing. If you do those things then your backhand should improve.

    Do all these exercises. They are pretty easy to do and will not only make you stronger, they will help protect you from injury so you can practice longer: www.asmi.org/SportsMed/media/thrower10.swf

    You can get the elastic tubing at any sporting goods store and it is fairly inexpensive.

    The one other piece of equipment to consider is a pullup (chinup) bar.

    And if you can swing it, a sit up bench to do rotating sit ups against gravity to build up your core.
