Honestly no way Berdych is beating Nadal? If he does you can flame me badly.

Del Potro was the only one who can ruin this meeting.

Last time they met Nadal won 7-5, 4-6,7-6(3),3-6,6-2.

This time I think it will be Federer in 4: 7-5,4-6,6-4,7-6(8)

Jumping the gun a bit, no? :)

Likely it will be Nadal through to meet Roger FedGOAT though but I'll refrain from making a prediction until Nadal/Berdych is over.

Fed in 3 sets, 6-3, 6-0, 6-3. The pattern from WTF continues...

Weather is going to cool down starting tomorrow which means no more super high bounces and slices will stay low. Perfect condition for Fed vs. Rafa.

You may have jumped the gun if Rafa has an off day.

(And I'm still mad Roger and Rafa are in the same half; I was dying for a FEDAL final.)

DelPo had one; Roger played brilliantly, but DelPo could have put up more of a fight.

We'll have to see.

:-?

What's the bounce like here. I hear it isn't as a high as it usually is and it is comparable with London. I feel the bounce will be crucial in this match.

Djokovic would have most likely ruined that, or possibly even Murray.

Federer in 5. You heard it here, folks.

Watched both semis and have to say, Federer impressed me a bit more judging by the tennis played only and not the scoreline.

Yes Nadal was ripping crazy winners there near the end but that's partly due to Berdych serving tired second serves.

Federer has a big opportunity here to make the final and then... I favour him to win the title against anyone.

Well that doesn't have much to do with anything, things don't seem to go his way when he plays Rafa in a slam.

They've only met once in a slam on hard courts.

I have a feeling like Federer is going to even up the record in slams on hard courts.

I don't have the stats with me, not sure how to obtain them without doing extensive research, but I'm going to venture a guess that Federer hasn't failed to at least reach the finals of a slam in which he didn't drop a set before the Semi-Finals.

US Open 2010.:-?

Hope Fed wins.

If Federer wins he has to be much better, if its close, he loses. Certainly no Federer in 5 and probably à Miami scoreline.

Nadal in 3; 64 62 61

Nadal in 4 sets. Federer played better today, but Nadal has his number (outside of indoors).

Nadal in 4, very similar to the FO match. Fed chokes away the 1st set after completley dominating Nadal. Fed comes back to win the second but quickly broken in 3rd, loses the 4th easily.

Nadal wins 7-5 4-6 6-4 6-2

Federer struggles to return Nadal's serve a lot more than Berdych does. That is a key, Nadal will get more free points off his serve than he did vs Berdych. Group that with Nadal hitting brilliantly (15 forehand winners in the 4th set, and about 40 forehand winners for the match, and 57 winners overall) as he did vs Berdych, and this could be a lopsided Nadal semi-final win.

Bookies have Federer as the favourite at the moment. Surprising tbh

I don't know about that. Federer hasn't lost an official ATP match since the US Open (he's now on a 23 or 24 winning streak), he beat Nadal in their last official match very easily 6-3 6-0, he's the only player left in the tournament who hasn't lost a set yet, dismantled an in-form Del Potro without breaking a sweat, Nadal on the other hand had a poor post US Open 2011 season, lost to Monfils in straight sets earlier this year in Doha, struggled big time against Berdych today (was 1 point away from going 0-2 in sets). So it isn't necessarily surprising
