20-20-18 might be the end.

Djokovic became the HC GOAT today and put on an emphatic performance against a player who was 20-0 coming in, and he straight set him.

While it might be the end, I would say as of right now, I highly doubt it. More big 3 slams are incoming.
More Big 2. Can’t see Fed winning again.

Djokovic will be favourite at 3/4 slams and I don't see that changing over the course of next 2-3 years.

Zverev can't beat him, neither Medvedev , thiem crashed out. So where will they beat him?

Of course tennis is funny, Djokovic didn't seem like wining any from 2 years from 2016-18 and he won Wimbledon 18, won another 5 slams amon 8.

Who knows what's going to happen next

Yea of course Djokovic was the favorite, besides AO being his pet slam, his draw opened up dramatically! He had a ridiculously easy draw until the final where his opponent Medvedev collapsed! Yet still, he nearly almost lost due to physical issues. So, don't count your chickens before they hatch. He also was close to losing in 2020 AO.

Anyway, once Tpas fully awakens, Djokovic will be the most vulnerable to him of the big 3.

I do get your point which is a great one. (y)
We need to keep our eye on Federer. He worries me more than Djokovic (only in Australia has djokovic beaten Nadal since W 2018) . Rafa needs the FO as i have a feeling Federer will get W . The quest for a 22nd Slam and 5th USO will be easier if Nadal ahead of Roger going into Flushing.
What do you think?

Imagine if Wimbledon hadn't been cancelled and Djokovic didn't have the accuracy to hit that woman ...

How long will Nadal have the record? I think around 2 years before Djokovic surpasses.

Please justify this comment. What puts Djokovic ahead of Federer on HC GOAT list and why.

More slam wins, more slam finals overall. That is the big thing, he has better numbers than Fed in both those metrics
In Masters events, Federer only has more Cincinnati wins, IW they are tied, Canada, Miami, Paris Indoors Djokovic leads
Federer has six WTF to Djokovic's five, so slight edge to Fed there, but Djokovic won four in a row there

Nole is vulnerable at the US Open...something always seems to happen there. Wimbledon yeah he’s probably the favourite at

Who has the better strike rate hard court Major finals won/lost out of Federer and Djokovic and what is their h2h at HC Major finals?

I savor each time Novak wins a grand slam. Yes, he won #18 convincingly. You just never know when life or a global pandemic might get in the way of his goals. Stay hopeful always, but we can't take these wins for granted because nothing is guaranteed.

Djokovic is 12 out of 17, and Federer is 11 out of 14 in finals won out of total finals played.

Their H2H is finals is 1-1 both at USO, 07 win for Fed and 15 win for Djoko

4 sets against Tiafoe, Raonic and Zverev and 5 sets against Fritz... Not very convincing...

I would say they are roughly Co GOATs. I don’t believe in making strong calls when the differences are not really big (and they are not in this case)
One day some so called expert like to actually explain to the world the differences between USO and AO rather than lumping them as HC Slams. So many players have such vastly different results there is obviously huge differences yet nobody explains them

What's the point of posting frequently on a tennis forum if you don't follow tennis?

Also, what happened to 20-20-17?

Goofy ass clown.

After how utterly, absolutely, and completely wrong you have been about Novak- a record that would have led other, lesser, trolls to leave this site- you still find the will to continue to ridicule yourself, even knowing that what few took you seriously no longer do.

I salute you sir!
Hey, you should really enjoy today/Sunday ‘cause this is a very SAD day for this Djokovic hater #1 on this forum. The guy has been saying everything and anything to bad-mouth current World #1, making up lies left and right along the way. That’s his mission here, his purpose in life.

Troll got SLAMMED hard today - more to come.

Djokovic big favourite at 3/4 slams for the foreseeable future.

when all is done, I think he finishes his career with 12 AO,1-2 RG, 8 Wimbledon, 5 USO.
USO he is 3rd Fav. Nadal and Thiem favourites there. Djokovic not made QF in last 2 years!! Wimbledon yes. Unless Federer comes back in all his glory.

Novak haters in ruins...

These threads are just... amazing.

No, the Big 3 era isn't over. If anything, it makes one wonder whether it will end even in this decade. Just because you hope it is doesn't make it magically go away.

Novak will win at least 1 or two more.

Djokovic favourite at any HC tournament he enters bud. Only injury or freak accident can stop him
If we take your view point for a moment. Djokovic has two majors on his best surface according to you. Double the amount of Fedal on their best surfaces. Yet he is still a fair way behind in the slam race. What do you make of that.

I agree Novak is vulnerable at us open. That’s why another us open would be sweet as like you say it tends go wrong there for him but it would be great if he can right the wrongs this year. He’s capable but he needs a bit of luck and to peak there at right time.

Id love it ending 20-20-19. Would make USO 2020 defining and somehow karma for Djokovic on court behaviour.
However Nadal is a dead cert for FO. So Nadal will get 21. Unlikely USO 2020 will be relevant. Which is a shame if you get my point.
Nadal is not winning anymore RGs come on. The guy is fat and he is moving like a tractor after an hour and a half of matchplay.

AO is a slam going from slow to fast.
USO is a slam going from fast to slow.

They were similar at some times 2011-15 but no longer

I think the time of the season in which they are played is a factor. Play them back to back and I see more similarities

Did you miss FO 2020? The final in particular?
He was lucky that Djokovic played one his worst matches of his career. If anything with the Fatdal current stamina, Djokovic winning that 3rd set and he probably wins the match and the title, despite being in his worst clay form of his career. ;)

Sorry bud that is not an excuse after today lol. Djokovic simply got humiliated at his peak. Using your argument means we can discount today as Medvedev didnt turn up. I am sure you dont want to do that.

Zverev and Medvedev and others have beaten him, just not on biggest stage...
Thiem had him on the ropes last year

Instead of worrying about Djokovic's peak or non peak performances, you should really worry about Nadal's diminished fitness and stamina. ;)

As todays result have shown, there is a heaven and earth difference between beating Djoker at ATP tournamenys and during slams.
They're not there yet.

Thiem had him on the ropes aided by Djokers sudden dehydration. But could he close out the deal. No.

Seemed good to me last FO lol. Nadal had a slight back issue that stopped him training. No big deal. His training block has always been aimed at April to September.
Right now he is Slam record holder with Federer. So feeling smug. Club 20 is exclusive.

WTF and Masters 1000 Finals decent stages. Nadal just lost to a NextGen at a slam. Djokovic has lost to Thiem more than once at FO.

Djokovic just routined the guy who routined all the next gen chumps along the way....How did you come to this conclusion? If anything it proves that the pathetic next gen and the next next gen and the next next next gen are all a bunch of mental midgets with a weak a*$ game that does not hold up under any sort of pressure
