20 GS Federer shirts. Thought?

Bored by the design.
Nike knew this one might happen highly so they started to print shirts earlier. That’s only good news. Probably it might sell out. Rafa’s shirt which delayed a few weeks and could not sell out.

Gotta do more than this design....

Now I started understand why Adidas got more share from Nike.
Actually Adidas is trying to become Nike such as designs and expanding their stores especially renovating stores which are similar to Nike’s stores.

Tennis division needs to change completely.

Think they look pretty cool actually.

What shoes did Fed change into for the prize ceremony?

It's alright, not sure if i'll get it. I think his 18th shirt was the best one

Was there a 19 shirt? I thought they only released the Ro8er shirt for his 8th Wimbledon title. I don't remember a 19 shirt being released.
Europe only. Had RF on the chest with like 8 stars around it. And a gold 19 on the back with Federer above it

If only these shirts didn't feel like sandpaper.

This is really weird as Nike definitely have produced some very nice feeling materials.

One of my favourites is a special edition Wimbledon tee in warm green with the silhouette of the Center Court drawn with silicon. 100% cotton. Very nice feel to the touch.

They have had other series ( tennis and non tennis) over the years like the grand slam polo and the current logo tee from the premium line, so they definitely can put out a quality product, if the customer refuses to buy mediocrity.

Unfortunately there is a reason why Nike pays Federer that much.

8-)

You're actually wearing them? I only buy to keep as collector's items. Regular RF shirts I'll wear, but these limited ones I'm keeping in the package.
I'll usually get one when it comes out and another on clearance. One I'll wear, one I'll keep

I do think if special shoes come they will come if/after he gets no. 1 again... similar to the 287's.

I actually think you're likely to be right about this. They are probably designing and preparing them as we speak, since it's imminent.

Special shoes???
Hell no.
Why Nike should release special shoes which will mostly benefit resellers.
Nike should stop doing this and Nike should appreciate fans. General release should be better.
Or limited edition might be good option. Limited edition means everyone can get one. Not like shoes sold out in 30 seconds. If Nike really wants to cash out Federer or Nadal, make special general release of actual Nadal or Federer shoes for $300 and only sells at Nike website and don’t send those to outlet stores.

Eyeing a shirt through plastic does it for you?

Tell that to those dudes who didn't open up their action figures as kids, or the kids (like my pops) who didn't get grimy and dirty fingers on their comics and kept them in mint or near mint condition. Some of those items ended up being worth tens of thousands of dollars, if not more. My dad has an X-Men no. 1 in near mint condition, not sure how much it's worth, but the best condition one went for nearly half a million dollars several years ago:

He's also got a Fantastic Four Silver Surfer as well, easily worth 20-30 grand.

;)

Just heard from TTW Europe that my order is now delayed until mid April.

The #20 shirts will be outdated soon anyway.

The design is so boring. The Nike design team must be incredibly lazy. Another great opportunity missed for them. I would’ve certainly bought one if there was just a little more thought put into the graphic - but no.

Certainly doesn’t surprise me the shirts also run a size small. Everything in their tennis line now does.

Nike has gotten incredibly lazy with their designs. Both ugly and unimaginative.

Their whole line for the last few years could have been designed by a guy with a laptop from 1995 sitting at a table in McDonalds over his lunchbreak.
