2015 was a weak year with only one dominant player who had his biggest rivalry going through the worst form of his career. 2005 in comparison was a lot more exciting with Federer, Safin and Nadal all in great form.

Yeah this one is clear. The first half of 2005 was much better. The second half post-WB grew weaker as top players fell to injuries one by one, but the USO was still the last stand of promising tennis - definitely a better narrative than 2015, which was blergh other than the final, which could have been a classic but instead revealed a chokebot masterclass.
