Nadal in a tight 3 or a loose 4. Carlos is tough to routine and Nadal can play a loose service game or two, but this should only have one outcome.
That's what Djokovic has been doing these past few years. Why you didn't say anything about that? Why all this heat on Alcaraz?Okkk.. Hes gonna vulture a terrible era full of bums. Congrats. Big accomplishment
Just interesting, why do you begin all names with a small letter, but Alcaraz with a capital letter?06 nadal takes it vs this Alcaraz in 4 competitive sets, maybe 5 at a stretch.
07 nadal in 2nd week would murder this Alcaraz, not even close.
Also zero chance 07 nadal wins vs 07 fed in 4 sets. you must be high.
fed was always ahead in the match till BP in 5th set for nadal.
Great. So now what? Is the match going to happen? Carlos is the 2023 Wimbledon Champion!Nadal in a tight 3 or a loose 4. Carlos is tough to routine and Nadal can play a loose service game or two, but this should only have one outcome.

Err...No. Not with the draws he had in 2016 and 2023. And the DO conditions starting from 2020. He never played any match in this slam where he looked unbeatable (unlike in AO for example), and so him winning 3 titles there is massively overachieving.Yeah Rafa has definitely be unlucky at Wimbledon. Peak Federer, then Djokovic? And 2007 and 2018 could have both gone the other way. Though I guess Djokovic and Federer have been very unlucky at RG too
Pleased that Carlos won for sure
Very little (if anything) has changed in tennis in 2023 compared to 2007. This isn’t comparing the 80’s or even the 90’s. This “tennis has evolved” nonsense is just that, nonsense. The Big 3 took it to a new level, but they’re either heavily declined or straight up retired. The generations that have come after them are vastly inferior and until today have yet to expose how much they’ve declined.Comparing Eras is useless, but Alcaraz has been really really impressive this fortnight. He's made Novak's serve look bad. His ROS last year on grass was garbage compared to this year. His serve also has developed.
Nadal had better mentality and a bigger forehand than Alcaraz. But Alcaraz is a more all round player. As such, I don't see how it's easy to say that Nadal of 2006/2007 would beat this version of Alcaraz easily.
Novak only won 2 less points. I would say he forced plenty of errors to make up for itHe had a negative winner-UFE differential… on grass, a winner-friendly surface.
A nice rule of thumb (with some exceptions) is that if your winner-UFE differential is getting even close to negative on grass of all places, that’s not a good sign.
Dude had 0 winners in the fifth set until about halfway through.

Even more proof of how useless W-UFE is because the start of the fifth was some of the best stuff all match. He had a negative winner-UFE differential… on grass, a winner-friendly surface.

Do you see now his mental strength? Did you see how he closed out the match? I seen that millions of times from him, thats why i knew he had always the edge today. Because of the mentality, not only the technique, you still dont see the mental part is what has been making the difference all along.Comparing Eras is useless, but Alcaraz has been really really impressive this fortnight. The third set TB was 7-3 for Roger, that's not close. Nadal was never close to winning the match, so he couldn't have "easily won it." The closest he got was in the fifth set when he failed to convert in the third and fifth games on Fed's serve at 15-40. A 6-2 fourth set is a blow out anyway, Nadal wasn't close to the trophy.Nadal played Peak Federer in 2007 on his favourite surface and could easily have won the match in 4, where he lost two close tie breaks.
OP is just butthurt that his beloved Rafa has been replaced by Alcaraz and is trying to soothe his emotions. Notice he immediately posted this garbage thread to take away from Alcaraz's Wimbledon win and bring attention back to his hero? Now nothing.
I’m answering the question OP asked.
Who wins these matches?
1. Alcaraz Wim 23 final vs Nadal Wim 19 SF
2. Alcaraz Wim 23 final vs Federer Wim 19 final
3. Hewitt Wim 05 SF vs Alcaraz Wim 23 final
4. Safin Wim 08 2R vs Del Potro Wim 13
5. Nadal RG 19 final vs Puerta RG 05 final
Probably so, convenient time to do a glow-up of Nadal.OP is just butthurt that his beloved Rafa has been replaced by Alcaraz and is trying to soothe his emotions. Notice he immediately posted this garbage thread to take away from Alcaraz's Wimbledon win and bring attention back to his hero?
What else they got left?Probably so, convenient time to do a glow-up of Nadal.
Wouldn't say easily but if Nadal broke first in the 5th like he had 4 chances that Fed saved that could easily shifted the dynamic Federer would have had to break back. The third set TB was 7-3 for Roger, that's not close. WOW, nice try. The whole debate was 2006 Wimbledon vs 2023 Alcaraz you little daisy, not 2007 Wimbledon. I said it myself as for now I think Nadal played better in 2007 than Alcaraz this year. READ.

Haha no, multiple posts bud. Here I'll quote some of them for you lol:Like ONE post in a full thread about something else?
Nadal 2006 in 4 or 5. Nadal 2007 in 4
06 nadal takes it vs this Alcaraz in 4 competitive sets, maybe 5 at a stretch.

2006 Nadal wins in 5 imo.
2006 Nadal (who I think takes it in four) is the better comparison.
2006 Nadal wins in straights. He's significantly better at every single meaningful aspect of the game. I don't see any reliable way for Alcaraz to win a set barring divine intervention or sheer dumb luck. But I guess getting a geriatric Djokovic playing way below average to vulture a Wimbledon title after a historic vulture of USO shows that he already has a penchant for that.
Yeah I saw that coming. See yaI already got bored in the other discussion, but after this I'm going out lol.
Makes sense. No one can prove you wrong when you predict hypothetical matchesTTW gets more heated about hypothetical matches than actual matches
Djok barelyWho played at a higher level?
1. Djokovic Wim 11 or Nadal USO 13
2. Murray AO 12 or Del Potro USO 09
3. Federer USO 11 or Nadal Wim 07
4. Murray AO 10 or Alcaraz Wim 23
5. Wawrinka USO 16 or Djokovic USO 08
