Thanks, I looked at the link, but I have never heard of that movie. The 60s were well before my time and I was never a history buff. I only know that there was some political trouble, like the Cuban Missile Crisis and the JFK assassination, early in that decade.

As for deep cover intelligence, I imagine that, if done right over a long enough period of time, it might go beyond convincing others and well convince the agent himself that they are what they pretend to be.

If you spend 10 years pretending to be a car mechanic at a garage of an embassy, you might very well become one after getting caught with the wife of an important attache.
 
Since 2000 only 6 teens have finished the year in the top 20, and 5 of them went on to win slams. Perhaps Zverev can be the seventh.

Daddy was a fine poaster from Serbia who I think met Zagor once.

It also has a poast by @Grgisme another Serbian who poasted for a short while during the reign of terror of Chico. He once scolded chico a few times telling him not to behave like a child.

This is an old post but with some young players doing well finally, I feel like its worth pointing out that its patently false.

2009 was harder to break through than the 10s - Nadal, Djokovic, Federer, Murray all playing very, very high quality tennis - and yet Del Potro managed to break through. We were really robbed of some interesting tennis the past few years by his injury - he could have been a counterpoint to Djokovic's unopposed dominance the past few years if he stayed healthy. When he won 4 titles in a row as an 18 year old, I remember reading that everyone who had won that many as a teen before went on to be world #1. Not to mention that if Nadal can win RG at age 31, his even better 19 year old self on clay would have definitely won.

Basically, the Federer/Djokovic/Nadal/Murray group is one of the best ever certainly, but the generation that follows is also one of the worst ever, and we shouldn't be so charitable as to claim that a truly elite youngster couldn't have broken through either.

I expect he will at some point. I have resigned to the fact he'll win Slams and be #1 someday. And it will be sad.

Be he can't take his glorious 1st week losses away from me.

There's also a small chance, that his Slam results will affect his confidence so much it leaks into his Bo3 game and he just crashes out the top 10, but I don't expect that to happen.
