Seeded to meet at QF as follows:

Ivanovic - Safina
Serena - Venus
Dementieva - Kuznetzova
Jankovic - Zvonareva

Ivanovic, Serena, Venus, Safina all in the first half!!!. Terrific news for Gold Medal winner Dementieva and 1 week numer one wonder Jankovic.

I agree. Top half is much harder than bottom. Jelena or Elena have a good chance to make the final, while Williams sisters, Ana and Dinara are all packed together.

Jankovic and Dementieva are probably down on their hands and knees Praising the Tennis gods for their relative good fortune with this one. But this is like all those Slams Last year that had all the real Favorites in one half. I mean last years French had Serena, Justine, and Jelena (who was on a hot streak), all in the top half of the draw. Sometimes the draw just comes out lopsided. Jelena and Elena are gonna have to hope though that the top half bludgeons each other apart though, especially Jelena who has been chronically injured lately.
