2009 Grand Slam Predictions

AUSTRALIAN OPEN - Andy Roddick (This will probably generate debate)

FRENCH OPEN - Rafa Nadal

WIMBLEDON - Roger Federer

US OPEN - Andy Murray

So i noticed in order to really get honest opinions you have to ignore tons of crappy posts from *******s and *********s as you get them all predicting calendar slams so just to be different

AO- Djokovic
FO- Djokovic
W- Djokovic
US- Mur...I mean Djokovic

I think we need Djoktards =] it will make life more interesting

For the most hilarious thing ever

AO- Safin
FO - Coria
W - Federer
US - Hewitt

Just so all those people who said Fed had no competition get shut the hell up soley because there new tougher generation just got crushed by the old apparent weak talent. Oh and Roddick wins the year end masters =]

Okay now what is really going to happen =]

AO- Murray
FO- Nadal
W- (i haven't the faintest clue)
US- Federer or Djokovic

I don't want to give wimbledon to either Federer or Nadal and really honestly I really think we should wait until at least mid year to predict end of the year slams, I mean how the hell are we to tell who will be top game by the US Open now. Yea go ahead and say I got the 08 US Open slam winner right, but then again probably more than half picked Fed for three slams so yea...

Now if in a world where dark horses ruled I think this is what we see

AO- Finals between Tsogna and Simon
FO- Finals between Del Potro and Monfolis
W- Finals between Gasqut and Roddick
US- Finals between Del Potro and Tsogna

But lets be honest I think we all want a calender year slam for Fabrice Santoro =]

Now I feel offended. I thought I am the official ********* on this board.

yea but unlike *********s and *******s it is not as obvious. You still seem to have a fair opinion on most matters and have not gone into threads finding ways to make djokovic seem to superior to everything that walks =]

though then maybe i just need to examine more of your posts in depth

That you are new to this forum is obvious here. With a bit more time you will have gj011 figured out and go back at this statement and laugh at it yourself.

It's interesting how people picked Tsonga to win the AO. I realize that many players do well at the same tournaments over and over, but how many people would have picked him last year at this time?

To be fair, Tsonga, after a bout with injuries, did have a pretty good end of the year run indoors.

Although I don't have picks, I'll have an anti-pick. This year, Nadal won't win the French Open, his first loss ever on the surface.

Btw, has anyone kept track of how Nadal's recovery has gone?

As an aside, Andy Murray has been posting up his training regimen at his site, and it looks like he's into year 2 of training. I listened to an interview with him and he said he had some early losses last year because he wasn't used to training and competing early on, but by the middle to later parts of the year, he was much more comfortable with his routine.

AO - Roddick
FO - Roddick
WB - Roddick
USO - Roddick

hahaha this is just too funny. i hope that he at least strings together 3 matches in one slam. dont see that happening either to be honest

Aussie goes to djokovic or Tsonga
French goes to hmmm...nadal lol
wimby goes to....nadal or murray
us open goes to a darkhorse.
