Granted Fish has been wildly inconsistent and you could very well be right, I wouldn't exactly call taking Nadal over Tsonga in a Best-of-3 HC "playing it safe" either. Even Tipsy showed he could give Murray a nice scare and Ferrer is no pushover either. I think the logic is if you need to make a somewhat risky pick in the QF, why not save the top guys who actually have a chance at winning the title.

He's definitely on a different level of trolling. That deserves recognition, me says.

Would you care to take that one back?

The difference between the top 4 players, is that when they aren't playing their best, they can still find away to grind it out and win. I trusted Nadal/Murray and Djokovic to win in their respective quarterfinal a whole hell of a lot more than Fish.

Well, hindsight is 20/20, but yes, I clearly under-estimated Fish's mediocrity and how washed up he probably is (though I don't think even you could have anticipated such a one-sided loss).

But my point that Nadal was far from a safe choice I think was clearly proven as well. He did pull it out, but it could have easily gone the other way. The Big 4 aren't locks to beat every single 2nd tier player in the Masters events the same way they are in the Slams. Isner at IW and Roddick here showed that a big hitter on his game can take them out.

I did pick Monaco in 2 in the prediction league, haha!
 
Levente is the only player remaining as he has the Murray pick remaining. wintintu and Eternity do not have anymore picks.

Interesting observation: because of Nadal's withdrawal before the Murray match, it was impossible for anyone to win this event. The only viable pick for the Semis was Djokovic, in which case you obviously lose in the Final.

I'm sure all of us who gambled on Fish would have taken the safer path to the Final had we somehow known this...oh well.

What if you had picked Murray for the Semis and Djoker for the final?

The rules only say that if someone you picked gave the walkover, then you can change your pick. I'm assuming if the person you picked was given the walkover, then it counts as a win.

But I'm not 100% on that one.

Yep you are right, but no one picked Murray in the SF :).

Wintintu picked Rafa....but since Rafa withdrew....he was allowed to change his pick.

Had Wintintu picked Murray....Rafa withdrew before the match started. Wintintu would move on with the Murray pick to the final.

The league file now includes the race points you've received. However, your race total will not be updated until MC has been completed. Sorry for the inconvenience.
