djokovic is going to be destroyed......just get over those wet dreams about him completing career slam......time to get real......

djokovic will struggle to win games today, let alone sets......his crappy movement on this surface will be exposed by nadal like never before and i will be laughing every single time djokovic loses his footing and gets his ass kicked in the point......

If people have high hopes for a 4 hours+ 5 setter, they are in for disappointment and it will be anticlimactic for sure. 90% chances are that Nadal will win in straights and 10% that Nadal will win in four. I think you will see a UE crap fest from Nole and maybe < 12 UE from Nadal.
yes.....the problem for nole is that his movement is second rate compared to rafa's on this surface......his excessive sliding on hardcourts has damaged his movement on clay over the last 2 years.......clay is the surface where he should actually be sliding but he has no control on the slide on clay and struggles to stop and change direction as effectively he does on hardcourts because he is so much used to the traction from the hard surface.......

another thing is nadal's complete forehand package is working and he is also not missing off the backhand.......when he is playing like that, he is hard to beat on any surface, let alone clay......

These guys converted 2 stroke rallies into 20 stroke rallies at AO. I shudder at the thought of what would happen on a slow clay. Keep the remote right next to you and get an action flick DVD in. I have kill bill 1 & 2.

The court in Australia was as slow if not slower than Chatrier at least.

Probably Rafa in 4. But i hope Joker can take him at least to 5. And then who wins it, hats off.

It is hard to believe the Djoker is an underdog since he is #1 in the world and has won the last 3 slams. But it is undeniable that he is. He will have to play well to take a set and extremely well to win.

That is an interesting conclusion, since Nadal's most formidable opponent so-far has been Ferrer.

You beat the guys who are in front if you, but it is in no way clear based on the results so-far that Nadal has been playing better than Djokovic. We really can't compare, because the quality of Djokovic's opponents has been so much higher.

Any rain updates? Is the match still scheduled to start at 3PM French time, 9AM EST? I see on the Roland Garros website that it is currently raining but no indication about a change in start time...

I read the Paris forecast and it will be brief times of showers here and there. This could be a long day for a final.

Would be an awesome day if Djoko can beat Rafa, Italy beats Spain, and Ireland gets the job done. That's my triple header! Make it happen!

The heavy damp conditions would MASSIVELY hurt Nadal, simply because he will get no bounce and spin off the surface. His biggest weapon, the top spin forehand will not kick up high nor zip through the surface.

Same thing happened in the F.O 2010 final, where it was initially cold and damp, and all Nadal could do was play defense while Soderling hit the ball big. When the sun came out, Nadal started getting more spin and penetration and his ball began kicking up high. He pushed Soderling back with his ground-strokes and became more aggressive.

I think this is a good opportunity for Djoker, especially if they play in these conditions. Nadal won't be able to hurt the Serb at all. Mats Wilander said that Djoko should do a vodoo dance and hope the sun never comes out.

Both camps, Nadal fans and Djoko fans must be extremely worried. Yes Nada looks like a lock for the title, but you can't tell me Nadal fans are not worried.

Why does Mary Carillo say things like it's an impossible task "to beat Rafa Nadal HERE" ??? Does she realize it has been done before?

Nadal is going to lose. You could have easily shortened this up by just coming out and saying it.

I think the question of who wins it is irrelevant. Bigger question is when will NSK show up again if Djokovic wins?

LOL, I think this Nadal fan is the most worried of all :). He won't admit it and deep down inside thinks Nadal will win. But the extreme worry is coming out like this. It's cute.
