Now that this match up is official, I'll vote Federer in 4. I think he's got one more great match in him, especially given what's at stake.
Love Fed, but if Murray wins, I'll be OK with it. Would be great to see him win a Major, especially Wimby. The crowd would be something else if he wins.

Well jinx didnt quite work. Federer in 4. Would like to see Murray win but dont see it unless he plays better than he has all tournament so far. Federer-Murray matches are different than Federer-Nadal or Federer-Djokovic anyway. You feel like despite Murrays wins over Federer that the match is almost entirely dependent on Rogers play in a sense.

Can you imagine Murray's reaction if he wins? It would be like getting a 500kg gorilla of his back, the guy's under tremendous pressure to deliver. Not to mention that it would be a great story overall with the first Brit winning after so many years and with Lendl as his coach who himself failed in his quest to get Wimbledon in his playing days.

Same here. I can not sacrifice Federer's 17 for the Murray's first. He will have to do it when Federer isn't there.

Federer, probably in straights. No chance Fed is going to give up this Wimbledon title to Murray. Andy played well today but to be honest Tsonga gave away the first two sets and only started competing in the third and fourth, and even then he was insanely erratic, even by his own ridiculously erratic standards. In other words, once Murray comes up against a mentally-strong champion, he will go down
Murray is not going to be able to counter punch and wait for errors or passing shots. He's going to have to play the most agressive match of his life to have an ychance.

Murray returns too well for roger. and andy is master of changing pace on grass. Federer won't be able to handle the gyle and cunning of murray.

Ok one more time... Djokovic is a better returner than Murray, how well did he do returning Federer's serve today?
Well, today's courts aren't about speed, because they are pretty much all slow. It's about heigth of bounce. Grass bounces very low. Roger and Murray are the two players in the game with the best slice backhands imo. I think this shot's been crucial for both, as well as their (first) serve.
It'll depend on how Murray will be able to get returns off the Federer serve back, and back with interest. If he can establish himself in the rallies, I like his chances. If Federer of today shows up however, I think Federer in 4 is the logical pick.

Yup just like Roger didn't handle 08 US Final and 10 Aussie Final.
Though I wish Murray the best. Will be dissapointed if Federer loses, but if he had to lose to someone in a Wimbledon final it got to be either Murray or Roddick.

Murray wasnt great today really. He showed some signs of pressure. Tsonga played like rubbish and still nearly took it to 5 sets. He will have to play at a much higher level in the final to win.

on grass, murray is better returner of serve. but One huge point is Today, Navak had problem with movement and his shoes slipping all the time. If you are slipping and don't have footing, you can't get the jump on the return of serve so you can't return well. That is what happened today to Novak, not that roger served so much better.
Murray did not have this problem and won't on sunday
