2013 ATP Sudden Death League: Australian Open

sf: Federer.

Painful. Heart wants to go Novak, then Federer. Mind says, 'hush.'

Might be deliberating this for the next few hours still.

Jay, quick question if you have one possible pick left do you still have to make a post to say that's who you are taking or is it assumed and automatically entered and a post not required?

Well one round left.

I've had a blast at this. I'll be playing this, and others, much more often.

Ditto. Although it's definitely more fun when you're still in contention i.e. i much prefer this to the WTA equivalent where i exited early! Petrova is dead to me......:-)

No need to post it onto the boards. It'll automatically get entered

That's good to know!

Btw thanks for your efforts mate - this is the first time I've had a solid crack at this, it's fun to be in the final (sort-of).

Final: Sexi Rogi Magic GOAT Federer

(Assuming he makes it through tonight)

So last year in my first ever event I won the Australian Open :-)

It was a great run to comeback and make the semis here but no repeat for me!

Congrats to the guys in the final and good luck :-)

And thanks to the guys for running this we love it and it is awesome :-) see you at the next event

I think this is just a formality but Murray please.
I'd also like to add my thanks to the organisers
Best
Paul

24 people have advanced to the final and are guaranteed at least 1,200 points. Out of those, 8 have Murray left for the Final, 5 have Djokovic, and 11 have no pick available (i.e: used both of them in earlier rounds).

2013 ATP SUDDEN DEATH LEAGUE - AUSTRALIAN OPEN RESULTS

RANKINGS AND RACE

Congrats goes out to my fellow winners: boredone3456 (first SDL title), ******** (6th SDL title, 2nd GS), GhostDog (3rd SDL title, 2nd GS) and rainingaces (4th SDL title, 1st GS) for winning the 2013 Australian Open SDL event! Job well done guys. Nice to finally have won a grand slam title after 3 years playing this game!

In terms of rankings, there are a lot of changes in the Top 10. ******** takes over as the number #1 player again. dcdoorknob moves up to #2 and jamesblakefan#1 drops down to #3. 2012 YE#1 Locotus drops down to 6th and 2012 Australian Open SDL Champion ark_28 drops down to 9th.

I won't talk about the race since it is self-explanatory.

Huge thanks goes out to TopDawg and CDNguy87 for all their help during this fortnight. Special thanks to wrxinsc for posting the order of play when I didn't have a chance.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone for participating. This was a great event and hope to see everyone participate at the Rotterdam SDL event next!

Note: We are not going to do Davis Cup this year. All DC points will be dropped after the World Tour Finals event.

Thanks to Jay, Top and CDN for all their hard work!!

See you at the next one!!

Congrats to this years winners obviously losing in the semis here having won last year has hurt me in the rankings but that's how it goes!

Enjoyed the event! When is the next one?

Rotterdam SDL is the next event. If you want to see the full calendar of events, it is posted in the league file.

Congrats to my fellow winners. A couple of my picks survived 5 setters, so I got lucky. I'll make an effort to enter all events this year, not just masters or GS'.

Congrats to all the winners and congrats to ******** for taking over the #1 ranking.

Thanks to the game-runners, always enjoy it.

Finals with no picks left, thanks to Crocodile Dunblane. Oh well, it was a better run for me than '12, IIRC. Congrats to the winners and thanks to the admins!
See you in Rotterdam!
