not the only one...
Keys off to a better start in the 2nd set...let's hope she can keep it up.
gorgeous won the first set 6-3, but is down 0-4 against Zhen in the 2nd!!
Very odd unforced errors. hiting long.
Keys has a lot of potential
rain delay... ?
Keys is playing so well!
Kerber got extremely lucky that shot was in. The second set should be over....such a shame, she is probably about to lose. Kerber serving for match.
Tsk! How disappointing. Wayyy too many unforced errors from Keys. Still she fought hard in the 2nd set considering how dreadfully she started.
She is very young... I hope she doesn't disappear, her strokes impressed me.
Julia broken in a game she served 40-0. Lol.
she needs to come to the net more. mix things up.
The tale of Kimiko Date continues! Through in doubles!
good fight by julia to come back and win the match.
42 winners / 56 Unforced Errors.
Kinda impressed by Ivanovic right now
good come back by Julia
really thought Zhie had this in the bag serving for the match with all the UEs from Julia
Zheng pulled a Stosur there. Goerges-Li is going to be tough to watch. Two BBB allergic to the net spraying errors until one implodes.
I think the first set was nerves. Sloane Stephens did just about the exact same thing a couple of years ago against Ivanovic in the USO 3R and now she's slicing and dicing her way through the draw.
And last year she was out in the 1R after qualies. And Angelique's the 5th seed, not some tomato can.
She's too good not to do what she needs to get better.
(That said, I was really frustrated watching. Credit to Angelique for that challenge, but ... man, Madison could have had the second set.)
Ana serving for the 1st set for the 3rd time.
2 Break Points!
1st set 7-5 Ana!
So I guess the feud between Ivanovic and and Jankovic is true!
"The origins of this feud seem lost in time, but the Serbian pair have always been guarded and distant with each other despite coming from the same city and breaking out on tour at similar times. The crackle of tension is loud at the moment, with Jankovic's mother criticizing Ivanovic for missing Fed Cup in April and Jankovic imitating Ivanovic's trademark fist pump after defeating her at the Madrid WTA event.
"Somebody else had coffee somewhere while my child played hurting for her country," Snezana Jankovic told the Serbian media after Serbia's Fed Cup loss to Slovakia, referring to a tabloid photo taken of Ivanovic and boyfriend Adam Scott at a cafe that week.
The two players met on court in the second round of Madrid two weeks ago, with Jankovic winning an error-strewn encounter in three sets. Packing up her bags and looking at her player's box after the match, Jankovic pumped her fist, Ivanovic style."
Lolz. And this whole time, I thought they were buddies....
Jankovic won more points, but lost the set. mentally it looks like it's taking a toll on her.
no poker faces in women's tennis?

Anyone watching the bartoli comeback? 5-0 down in the 3rd set and its currently 4-5 and shes serving to stay in the match.
Regular WTA stuff.
Not even surprised.
...Then double faults to give makarova a break point and she takes it on her 4th time of asking, womens tennis eh?
Fatoli knocked out. Impressive.
13 DFs from Bartoli...
Praise the LAWD.
That sweating fat mess was making me a bit queasy.
Cirstea seems to have an all male groupie in the stands.
She definitely has her looks going for her, I'll give her that.
i was looking forward for marion to go far. too bad.
at lease we still have gorgeous in the next round.
Radwanska looked very convincing in her 3rd round match vs. Watson, who wasn't really playing badly at all. Solid depth and location on her groundstrokes, and quite a few threading the needle type shots. 2nd serve looks like it will be a liability against the top ladies, though.
Ana Ivanovic up next, and Aga should be able to deal with her without too much of a fuss. I love Ana, but I don't think she's back to an elite form yet, and Aga shows no sign of pulling a WTA-style mental breakdown. 12 match wins in a row probably does that to ya!
Think it's 13. Pretty sure she started the AO at 10-0, but I may be wrong. No WTA meltdown? That's no fun. I really like Aga, but we need more drama...
Anyone see Ana play earlier? How was she hitting?
Here we go guys! Come on Venus
no, Aga was 9-0 going into AO, she is 12-0 now
she had 4 wins in Sydney (1 bye) and 5 in Auckland
so impressed with Madison Keys' play, but she should have won that 2nd set.
It's so weird to watch Madison play, she looks so much like Alexandra Stevenson and her game is similar except the one-handed backhand.
Yes, Radwanska is looking very very impressive.
I think she is serious about getting to #1 and winning a slam this year.
If Serena doesn't win this one, I think it will be Radwanska.
In fact, I think Radwanska might be the biggest threat to Serena at this point.
Poor Venus. I only saw the end but she looked very tired and hit so many unforced errors at the wrong moments.
Not to mention the fact that Maria was hitting return winners left and right and treating every game like the 3rd set tiebreaker of the US Open. Wish Venus could have built up a bit more confidence with a few more match wins before having to deal with Streakapova.
She was hitting well. I haven't seen Aga play, and I know she's the 4th seed or some such, but Ms. Ana was more decisive than I've seen her in awhile.
If nobody has a premature meltdown, I don't think this one is over till it's over.
As long as Ana doesn't panic, I feel like it'll be a worthwhile game!
I love how the last two posts have to qualify their sentiments with "if she doesn't have a nervous breakdown". Oh WTA, you so silly.
I'll be rooting for Ana, but my head says Aga will take this in 2 sets. Mentally, Aga seems very tough right now. These are my two favorite players left in the tourney, and it sucks they have to meet in the 4th round.
The Swirly Finger has added to her already annoying hoot owl grunt. I think she's trying annoy people on purpose.
Drunk Rock don't wanna watch no women's matches.
Anybody watching the Kirilenko game? Why did the official make her take off her visor before the match? I thought that was a little weird... I missed what the commentators were saying about it...
I think Azarenka's going to lose this match. Just something about Vika's game and attitude that's all messed up.
Good timing for Tori
Nah, I think she'll win it. Especially now that Hampton is injured.
