dont worry guys fed is gonna take it birdie is a known mug
No. 6 in the world kind of mug? I bet he could double bagle you using one leg and his left hand. :-D
lol. he would still be a mug
This is one of the reason why I love the Dubai event. The big boys play, and we get some big time showdowns. Federer, Djokovic, Berdych and Del Potro. There is only one group of four that is unarguably a better combination.
lol you still hurt about uso 2012?
He/she is not even a Fed fan. Just masquerading as one.
Fed is 11-5 and has 17 majors.
Here we go! Nole vs The Juan
novak is going to need to volley much better than that to beat juan martin...
serving very well in the opening game of the match... 1-0 to novak... Delpo's serve now.
Stream for anyone who wants it.
Bad miss on the return there from Juan Martin at 30-30.
First break to djoke
Break, djokers backhand dtl is too much.
Novak breaks for 4-2. Guy just zones on certain return games. It's unbelievable.
Awesome stuff from the world number one.
Djokovic is playing like a man possessed.. He is playing the highest level of hardcourt tennis I have seen in the last few years.. Not in this match, but over the last 1-2 years in general..
Ive said it before on hardcourt he has no equal fast or slow conditons.
Delpo being too predictable with his service games and making too many errors*.
Perhaps he should serve and volley once or twice to make Novak think more about his returns...
* Forced and unforced.
His strength is baseline power but novak is doing it better.
Delpo serving three aces in the game and it still was a close game! He is serving much harder than I have seen him do recently..
1st set serbia
yeah... Delpo needs to get Novak out of his comfort zone a little somehow*. Right now he's trying to out-grind him the baseline playing directionals. Especially on Novak's service games. Djokovic likes this.
First set to Novak 6-3.
* Your idea is as good as mine..
6-3 to Novak.
The problem for Delpo, aside from the fact that his movement gets exposed, and his serve gets put in play, is that he lets Djokovic get into a rhythm with longer rallies. He's never been one to shorten the points with his power.
Three break point opportunities for Delpo!
two aces from Novak...
Delpo out-rallys Novak and breaks!
Delpo breaks for 2-0 in the 2nd.
Beautiful slice lob from Delpo to hold.
Important hold for delpo.
Gentlemen, we have a match!
Well well, 3-0 Juan in the 2nd..
I believe JMDP just got a time warning.
The time warning seems to buy them more time since they spend a few extra seconds questioning/arguing it.
If that was a time warning (I don't have sound) I think this is the first one I've seen possibly cost someone a game.
del potro got another half an hour time on that point.
I'm sorry, but that is lame. The match was going at a nice pace, and the umpire just ruined it. I'm all for the 25 second rule, but if the match is going fine why interrupt it. I hardly noticed he was taking over 25 seconds.
I feel like it could have cinched the match for Novak which seems unfair. Now that they're back on serve, I'll be surprised if it goes 3 sets.
I'm getting this feeling as well.
Not unfair. Del Potro took too long. He broke the rules.
Rules are the Rules.
I haven't been watching from the beginning, but I'm glad to see Novak seems to be doing pretty well adjusting to not taking as much time between points. Has he gotten a time warning this tournament?
I know. I'm just saying it's a terrible time to enforce the rule. Umpire should have better judgement than that IMO.
Not once since the rules began, he just gets on with it, to be fair now he is so dominant the nervous points dont come up as much for him to go over the time.
Two tweeners in one point!
He wasnt wasting time he was already into his service motion it just ruined a good match
Now to be fair, no one knows if Djokovic would've broke regardless of the time violation, but it was a crappy time to call it anyway.
Not so fast 0-30.
Separate names with a comma.
