What do you mean by "artificially quick"?

In the 80s and beginning of the 90s there were hard courts as slow as this one (this same tournament, Indian Wells, or Miami or the Rebound Ace of Melbourne) but there were also very fast and skidding hard courts like the US OPEN.

That made it possible for a varied range of players with different set skills to shine at least in some parts of the season.

Today the unique slow hard court type makes that the best one at that (currently Djokovic) wins almost every hard court tournament.

It is unfair to other players. Only one unique type of game is rewarded on hard courts everywhere in the current era, and it is the "Djokovic type of game".

Dubai was lightning the other week and djoker won that yes there should be more faster tournaments but not like the 80s.
