Bruins break after 4 million moonballs

I can't tell if it's just the video, but the TAMU girl definitely looks less fit. She looks like she wants to play the ground and pound game but the UCLA player is not giving her anything to drive.

I know I would hate that type of player!

Not sure I was over by the other courts, aTm girl fading fast though

So tough to see on a stream but the UCLA girl fell down just before the TAMU girl went to the ump. I wondered if she screamed a distraction as I was watching.

Nguyen rolled her ankle and received a point penalty for time violation. TAMU serving for the match now 5-4 in the third.

What a shame. Fought off a couple match points in the second set tiebreaker and up 40 love serving for 5-2 in the third but unable to convert. Hell of a match from both girls though, huge hearts.

OK, in both dual matches, the TEAM with better conditioning has won the match. Cercone cramping like crazy even in the beginning of the 3rd set. Stanford conditioning coach deserves some Kudos for this one. They have really improved this aspect of their program.

Not in the other semi. UCLA's girl was fine fitness-wise up until she rolled her ankle late in the third. Any player can suffer an unfortunate injury in a match irregardless of how well-conditioned he/she is.

I don't think Cercone was cramping. I think she was mentally gone after blowin the big 2nd set lead to lose it in a tb.

So if Gibbs beats Embree 6-0, 6-1 and Sanchez beats Gibbs 6-0, 6-0, what would the score between Sanchez and Embree look like? Golden set maybe? Unbelievable beat-down on Gibbs going on right now.

Stanford now 3-0 on the old scoreboard but the 4th may take a bit longer to come

yeah, they're up 3-0 after No. 1 comes back from losing the first set 0-6 and wins the third 6-0. Yet, TAMU still has a legit chance to win 4-3. I don't think they will, but they have a legit chance.

Stanford break back to force a TB on 3, that would have been a big momentum boost for a and m right there

Aggies win on 3, up 5-0 in the 3rd on 6 so all comes down to # 2 where Stanford is up 3-2 with a break in the third (if a break matters much).

Why was Stanford the 12 seed? Well, I know why -- the ITA computer formula had them at 12. But, what made them lose the matches that led to the No. 12 ranking? Were there injuries during the season or something? Or, did they simply not "gel" until late in the season?
