I wonder if it is all about the slowness of court or is it related to balls. WTA looks fast compared to ATP.

I'm so glad that Azarenka won the 3rd set.
Not so much because I care about the outcome of the match, but because I'm getting Brent Musberger syndrome:
That's where the announcers fawn all over one player (or team) so much that you start to hate that player.
"Serena has the greatest serve, Isn't Serena great, no one can play anywhere as good as she does, Serena has the greatest return, Isn't Serena great, no one can play anywhere as good as she does, Serena has the best groundstrokes, Isn't Serena great, no one can play anywhere as good as she does, This will be Serena's (insert record here), Serena is the best mover on court, Isn't Serena great, no one can play anywhere as good as she does, Serena is the mentally strongest, Isn't Serena great, no one can play anywhere as good as she does, Oh Serena missed a shot - it's only because of the wind, Isn't Serena great, no one can play anywhere as good as she does..."
McEnroe just said, "Somehow the momentum got on her (Azareka's) side." If he'd bothered to pay attention to the match, he would have seen what was going on.
The CBS announcers have been saying throughout the tournament that "Serena is the overwhelming favorite," and "Serena is the prohibitive favorite." Why were they saying that when they knew perfectly well Azarenka had beater her on hard courts the last two times they played and at last year's US Open it was an even match?
Right now, it is still 50/50 on who will win the match; I hope they will pay attention.

First of all, Aza hasn't won the 3rd set. Secondly, they said she is the prohibitive favorite because she is: Serena was a 4.5 to 1 favorite. Does that mean big favorites don't sometimes lose? Of course not, but they merely reported fact, don't see why you're so bent out shape about that.

Ugh. If it was going to go 3, I at least wanted a close third set.

Not surprised Serena could rebound in the 3rd, but not expecting this. Of course, not over.

LOL........

I had a good chucke at that one, too. what makes it even funnier is this..

If you think they suck, your knowledge of tennis is just laughable. And I really don't want to discuss tennis with someone who doesn't know jack **** about it. Good day to you.

16>11,6
stop whining b.t.h, they suck, not in the league of players like fed and serena.

She definately delivered in response to Crose' post.

...but she gets the second. Okay, to paraphrase Denzel in "Training Day," I'm taking down case on ALL you b.i.t.c.h.es in a few minutes.

The death of the WTA

Congrats to Serena. Logical win given her intimidating form all tournament. Better luck to Vika next time. I'm glad she gave it a fight in the 2nd.

She (or he?) is right. Who knows Nadal, Djokovic?? Azarenka, Radwanska, Errani are household names.

Just retire Serena, stop picking on these talentless mugs that can't even serve

Why don't YOU retire, with your 2 dozen announcements about Aza's serve-and, while you're at it, take your butt picking, illegally coached, PED swilling Spaniard with you?
