Welp, looks like Djokovic will have to do this the hard way

He beat two players who had previously beaten him on grass (0-1 against Berdych, 0-2 against Haas on grass), now gets JMDP as well

Head to Head: 8-3 Djokovic
On Grass: 1-0 Del Potro

I hope it's a good match, but I wonder if Del Potro's knee can hold up to fight another day? I think this should be a fairly easy win for Djokovic.

It all hinges on Delpo's health. If he is healthy, this will be the match of the tournament. Shame, again, on wimbledon for not having these courts ready.

Djokovic in 4. Both of these are my faves after Federer and Dimitrov, so I am neutral in this one, but with Del Potro's fall today despite the convincing win, I have to say Djoko is much fitter and I think will rise to the occasion.

Would be such a deserved tournament victory if Nole can somehow continue vanquishing his grass demons and players that beat him the last time they met on this surface. A win here and a possible potential win against Murray in the final would be quite a statement.

Novak in 4.

I wish this was the final. I would like delpo to win but i feel he would stand much less chance vs Murray in the final so i have to root for Djokovic. such a dilemma though cos delpo has played so good and about time the big man won another slam.

What if he played Janowicz in the final? Murray's not there yet.

Something worth noting is that both Djoko and Del Potro have won all their matches in straights so far.

So whoever loses 3 sets in the whole tournament will be out just like that.

If the first semi is Murray vs janowicz (and neither of them are in the semis yet either) and janowicz wins, then i will support delpo in the second semi. though i still feel Djokovic would have a better chance in the final, i would still have faith in delpo beating janowicz too.

Can I ask who the Lion King is and why this nickname? (referring to your signature).

Janowicz would beat Del Potro if both pull off upsets to play the final. He has a more powerful hitting game right now.

he got federer and novak in his 'holy trinity'. im going to go out on a limb here and guess the lion king is nadal.

Nadal is the mafioso cabybara
Look at it

If Delpo wasn't constantly battling leg injuries I'd predict a really close match, possibly an upset. But as impressive as Delpo looked against Ferrer, Djokovic is going to be moving him from side to side, up and down, in a way that Ferrer couldn't, and that's going to take its toll over 4 sets or 5.

I hope Del Potro's knee is ok. Sure he beat Ferrer in straight sets, but he would have been benefiting from the effects of the painkillers and the adrenaline of winning while the match was ongoing, with a days rest any possible pain might come back.
I didn't see the fall live, I only tuned in as he was having the MTO, but I've just seen a replay and it looked painful

Just have to wait and see I guess.

Stop with this ********, Janowicz is nothing but useless inconsistent ballbasher who got lucky with the draw because favorites failed. You are making me look like bad person, but facts don't lie.

Djokovic in 4. He has been playing far too well, and I worry for Del Po's injury.

I feel any combination of the remaining four players could make an interesting final though.

How bad is Delpo's knee? I heard he was crying at one point in his Ferrer match. I'm picking Novak, but I hope the Argentine gives him a fight.

Simba=Dimitrov (though I suppose in that case Fed shouldn't be the Eagle, but rather Mufasa, eh not perfect analogy, I just roll with it)
Thanks for the reply!
This could be a tough one for Novak. Delpo played really well vs Ferrer. Even at USO, Delpo played Novak very tough . Djoko will have his hands full and we should get a hell of a match!

Djokovic is in stunning form, and Delpo's movement is quite has been quite sketchy especially today. Djokovic is going to run him up and down the court relentlessly and win in 3.

Normally I would bet on Del Potro to win this in 4. He is really a better grass player than Djokovic (and beat him on grass last year).

However, the injury makes me think DelPotro will lose in 4, or even retire mid-match.

A Murrovic final feels imminent, and Murray is winning it against all odds.
