Wow, Li and Azarenka both have 2 majors. You could argue that Li has had better career with FO and AO titles, along with 2 runner ups.

Li played great in the second set. First set could have been almost as bad if she made even 30% less errors.

But, all due credit to Cibulkova. Love the energy, love how she competes. Love her.

I'm so happy for Li! She got the major she and her people coveted the most.

Great run for Cibulkova. I hope she can play more consistently throughout the year.

Azarenka also has two-runner ups. Both have YEC runner-ups as well. Still Vika has won a lot more events and has been #1.

Congrats to Li on her slam title.

And also major props to Cibulkova; never say die attitude will always win with a lot of fans.

With the performance of Fognini, Halep, and Radwanska in this year's championship, it's always good to see someone try as hard as they can. Those 3 could learn a good lesson from Radwanska.

Cibulkova never quit, fought like a wild cat, but we saw once Li found her best, she zoned and was unstoppable.

Cibu gave everything she had until the last point. Just couldn't stop Li when started steamrolling.

Li is just the fourth woman to save a match point earlier in the tourney and win the Australian Open? That is a cool statistic!

Great women's tournament. Lots of surprise upsets and the debut of Bouchard.
