Hi, i was wondering why some 2014 pure strikes have a red stripe near the bumper guard and throat grommet and some have a white stripe? https://www.lovetennisblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/71742.jpg https://th.bing.com/th/id/OIP.n_tTVEQe1GAuV3bh5bFyuQHaE6?pid=Api&rs=1
Ok. So the one in the top link of your post is 2014 Pure Strike 100. Those and the 2014 Pure Strike 16x19 had silver line at 12, silver line at 6 and then silver line at base of throat just above top of handle.

The one in your second link is 2014 Pure Strike Tour. They had red line at 12, red line at 6 and then red line again at base of throat just above top of handle.

There is also a third version too which you haven't put picture of. The 2014 Pure Strike 18x20. That had red line at 12, silver line at 6 and then a silver line again at base of throat above the handle.

Hope that helps.

Gees man, that is awesome - I still use one (the 16x19) and it was cool to have learnt that.

Just minor details! :) That gorgeous Wimbledon edition of yours is the same as regular one btw?

I switched from the 2014 Pure Strike Tour to the Gen 3 Pure Strike Tour late last year when the new one was released. The Gen 3 is more comfortable and allows me to play with stiffer strings and take bigger cuts at the ball while playing similar otherwise. But, I sure miss the fantastic paintjob of the Gen 1 - a lot of good memories of many matches won with the red/black beauties.

Basically im wondering if the specs are different among the different paint jobs. i have noticed the 18/20 pattern with the white stripe is more head heavy by a lot and lighter over all

k, ill do it tomorrow. lol
Still waiting on your pics. Just curious how you have two 18x20 racquets with different paints.

The difference between two same line racquets could just be a variance in QC. Racquets come over and under spec all the time. One could be over spec by a little and second one a bit under.

Okay if you look at the specs written on the racket it solves the problem. The pure strike with the white strip is lighter(10.8 ounces ) than the red stripe pure strike (11.3 ounces). this is for the 18/20 pattern.

305 grams (10.8 ounces) is standard 18x20 and 320g (11.3 ounces) is Tour. Please look at photos above posted by @haqq777
