What? An Isner match with zero TBs? The Earth will tilt off axis! Run for your lives!
Zero tiebreaks, but zero interest.

The crowd wasn't that bad compared to china. Isner couldn't hand pick a better final for him, either a midget or a guy he has one of his best records against.
Thats surprising considering how popular tennis is in ATL
This...agree 100%. I could not possibly dislike his game more...it's sad really. There is a reason he plays more tie-breaks than anyone else on tour. Without that big serve, I don't think he would be inside the top 50.
Ginepri played well last night. It's unfortunate for him that Isner can serve his way out of trouble.
Inside the top 50? He wouldn't be making a living playing tennis without that serve. Can you imagine him grinding out the majority of points? This is a guy that can hit return of serves into the stands, or the bottom of the net, consistently. Like Roddick said " you can't teach 6'10".
The boys from Wimbledon are in the doubles final. If anyone can find a site that is showing it please post the link here.

Oh me of little faith. Pospisil and Sock win the 10 point tiebreak 10-5 to take the title! They're still undefeated together: 2 tournaments played, 2 titles won.
Any bets on whether Dudi Sela brings out another chair to hug yet another big man?
Nice regroup to snag the superbreaker and the title!
Can u imagine a 2nd slam @USO! That would be a 3rd slam title in dubs/mixed for Jack before he's 22!

250 points earned toward a place in doubles at the year end final in London. And $15.000 each for winning the title which isn't bad for playing 3 matches.
Sock and Pospisil have a good thing going for them.
Well done from the USA/Can (do it?) team.
I've heard a couple nicknames for the pair already:
The Boys From Nowhere
The Pop Socks <---- This one's good!
No kidding! Isner wouldn't be Top 1,000 even if you gave him a better than average serve. His success is completely dependent on his height/serve. I've never seen another ATP player stumble around and shank balls like isner. Even Dr. Ivo seems to move around more gracefully.
I was at the Sela/Becker semi last night. The crowd attendance today sucks! mucho mucho better last night.
The British commentators coined these nicknames..I like PopSocks too. I think it might have been on a Eurosport sream. The Brits are very good at creating nicknames. And when Sock hit the back hand down the line to win the commntator shouted BINGO.!!!
Here is the last 17 minutes of the match in HD. It's as exciting when you watch it again as it was the first time. Best match this year at Wimbledon IMO.

That was the best match of the tournament last night.
So Isner defends his title. A lot of people may not like him but good on him anyway.
That's 9 titles...same as Berdych.

True but 4 of Berdych's are above 250 level (1 Masters and 3 ATP500s).
It would be nice to see Isner win something higher than a 250 level event. He has the game to do it!
No, I hate this one. Maybe it's just me being anal, but Vasek's name is Pospisil, so calling then Pop Socks makes no sense because there is no "Pop" anywhere.

Yes, but in his own way, Isner is more consistent than Berdy. You know what you get with Isner...Nuclear serve, strong forehand, crap backhand, passable net game. If serve is off, affects all of the game, blah blah.
But Berdy has so much game and no consistency behind it. Probably should have a slam
It's exactly like calling Dolgopolov "the Dog"--no DOG anywhere in his name either.
People are dyslexic?
Isner is in no way more consistent than Berdych. That's a very wrong statement. Berdych consistently makes the QF/SF of almost every event that he plays. The same cannot be said at all of Isner and I really like him but he's no where near Big Bird in the consistency department.
