Well, Klizan has shown he's got the tools to make life difficult for Nadal before, only failing on execution. This time, bingo.
 
This is why younger players add so much (not that Klizen is that young), they don't have the same mental scars as the veterans when playing guys like Nadal. Berdych would have gone down in straights.

Klizan has always played like that against Rafa. I got home just in time to see the last 2 points :lol:

LOL some of the over reacting from the haters on here is quite funny.

So Nadal comes back from 3 months not playing, as expected in his first tournament back, playing indoors which are conditions he's not used to and not strong in to begin with, he has a bad performance.

It's nothing to be concerned about, no tournament for the rest of the season is of huge concern for him. He just needs to get matches under his belt and come into 2015 with some confidence from decent performances.

In this form, Novak would've smashed him.
 
More than the backhand I thought Rafa's serve was weak. I didn't think he'd lose this match but I couldn't see him doing well against guys like Novak with that serve. He needs to serve much better in Shanghai.

He is gonna get blasted. He just lost to another dude on fastcourt that most people never heard of.
 
Rafa will probably do much better in Shanghai I feel. He'll be firing by the end of the season.
 
The question is now, Can Murray beat Djokovic and go all the way for 2 tournements in a row? Surely he would be the favourite either way.

Not really. He's 3rd in the race and is supposed to be 2nd (possibly 1st) if it weren't for injuries (missed 4000 points worth of tournaments).

I'm saying this as a Fed fan.

He hasn't ''sucked everywhere'' :?

He just hasn't performed to his 2010/2013 level. No big deal really...

Dimitrov played miserable. No DTL BHs from him. He just kept hitting defensive CC BHs, slice/topspin, and it was too easy for Djokovic to punish the BH, time and time again.

I think he will. Despite making several unforced errors he was trying to smack the ball with the forehand and backhand too. He just needs to hit more balls and he will firing again, I think.

It's not a big deal, it's a natural decline. His tennis has not been superb this year by any means, despite where he is in the race is what I'm saying. How many times have we seen a Rafa classic this year? I expect him to play his way back into better form and be good to go at the AO. If not, and he has another subpar clay season, then we'll know this is a permanent slide.
