If Djokovic plays like he did last match then he will wipe Federer out, i dont think he will produce the same level but he should still win fairly comfortably in 2.

I think Nole in 3. Except for his slip-up against the Stanimal, Nole has been rock solid lately. Fed has been a bit more up and down. His "up" will be enough to win him a set, but the "down" will lose him the match.

I think Djokovic in 3. Federer has a shot if he brings his A game and Djokovic doesn't play like yesterday.

Sounds about right.
Haven't watched much of Dubai, but Fed's serve seems to have been broken a fair bit. He needs that to be rock solid vs. Novak - and then some.

Still - the two of them rarely fail to produce an entertaining match, so I look forward to it regardless of the outcome. Just hoping for a 3-setter. Or a zoning Fed in 2:)

In other news - Birdman seems to be rock solid too this year. Think he can beat Fed in the final, if they get there. But Novak has him under his thumb, just like Fed had for five years after the Olympics 2004.

I fear that Djokovic will choke like he has been doing lately whenever he is close to a milestone (H2H here). :(

Oh, this should be a great match. Federer stated his back is 100%

How many hours from now will the match start?

Match time is 7pm Dubai time - so approximately 18 hours from now <<-----------

I won't mind Federer winning....but Ajde Nole!

Losing to Roger at this point wouldn't be good for Novak. Novak shouldn't be losing to Federer anymore.

Federer is ranked 8 in the world, there's no shame in losing to a fellow top 10 player.

And you never told me how to highlight lines on here.

Federer is way past his prime. At his best he's still good enough to beat Djokovic if Novak is not playing great. Novak is in his prime. Respect Roger but if I were Novak or Andy Murray, I wouldn't want to lose to this slower RF.

As for how to highlight:

First type [B ] write whatever to highlight here, then close it with a [/B ]

Note: there should be no space between [ or ] and B

I'm interested in whether Djokovic's walkover will help or hinder him in the next match. Wonder what Becker's strategy will be for him.

Was wondering if em worked, but obviously not.

Or, just select the text and click on 'B' toolbar button on top of the message editor like this:).

Yeah, I know, I am lazy - I prefer one mouse click compared to 7 letters typed

Now now FreeBird don't get cheeky- I'm 33 not 73! :)

Hmm. Folks on this forum call 32 year old *******, Old Man, etc. He probably wasn't off in calling you grandpa. Goes with this forum :).

I shudder what he would call me, a really old 43 year old

Rooting for Fed because I really don't want to wait any longer to see the PJ on his new racquet.

Who are you a fan of Vensai, I mean of the current players on tour?
I'm more of a fan of the old players like Doherty, Laver, Gonzales, etc.
Among the current players, I suppose I like Federer, Djokovic, and Nadal depending on which of them is playing their best tennis. Watching Gael Monfils is fun though.

Thanks. Hopefully it will go to 3 sets like the last few times they played. Djokovic has the advantage in my opinion but if Federer gets some early momentum, who knows.

To be honest I've not really seen much of Djokovic lately but I think he'll probably win in 2 close sets tomorrow though a lot will depend on Federer's 1st serve percentage. At any rate I don't think it matters who wins as I still believe Berdych will win the tournament anyway.

SOG to dispatch his Daddy in 2 easy peasy sets , unless he has an off day, in which case he will win 7-6,6-4

Djokovic relatively easily in all likelihood given Fed's ups and downs on this tournament and very weak second serve so far :?

Whenever I see a marquee match I get amped up for it. Whenever Djokovic vs Federer happens it's usually a good match.

I'm going for Djokovic in 3 like at the WTF's, Federer may get a tiebreak set then run out of gas. 6-2 6-7 6-1
