That's about as "not a break" break as I've seen. They should have just had a short conversation about who was going to give up first!

Sigh, Anderson takes the first set which was a giant scrappy ugly set of tennis. Murray needs to win, Goffin could upset Raonic today and with Ferrer yet to play, he needs points.

Lets see how long this break lasts lol

Also if Nadal pulls out of the WTF as most seem to presume will happen, Murray / Raonic AND Ferrer could make it (at the expence of Berdych)

Would you believe the Raonic v Goffin match got delayed right when Raonic had a BP in a game that Goffin was serving for the set? xD

Brilliant DTL on the run for the break!

Now Murray, dont brain fart this chance away, 4 first serves with a couple of aces please!

Lighting problems, AGAIN! *furious*
Plonkers over there...

Is that why it was delayed? I did wonder coz of y'know... indoor lol i assume you've been watching it, how has Raonic been playing? Im a fan of his and Murray so i had to make a call of which match to watch and he lost out.

Yes, that's the reason, and it's not the first time it happened this week!

Well Goffin was the better player so far, but Raonic was on the verge of breaking back... and right at that very moment, at *30-40 for Raonic (Goffin serving), the court went pitch-dark. Pfft...!

Game set and match Murray 7-6 6-4 6-4.

Very scrappy match from both players today, especially in the first set but ugly tennis or not, im glad to see Murray get through! Ferrer has a bit of pressure on him now, he needs to win to stay in contention for the WTF.

Anderson was always going to be a toughie. Hope Murray has enough left in the tank for tomorrow? He's been playing non-stop now for the last 5 weeks and has had to battle through some tough matches. He looked a bit whacked trying to serve it out today. The draws haven't been especially kind to him particularly here in Valencia and tomorrow he will almost certainly be up against the Energizer Bunny again for the 3rd time in as many weeks. Either him or yet another dangerous floater with a powerful serve who has given him trouble in the past ie. Bellucci. There's clearly no rest for the weary in the ongoing bid to qualify for London!

No doubt he'll give it his all as per usual for him!

EDIT: Ferrer already up a break against Bellucci so no surprise upsets in the can for today by the looks of it!

Ferrer's been playing really well this tournament and Andy's been looking pretty good too. If it is another Murray/Ferrer encounter tomorrow we could be in for a corker!

I'm just a little worried about Andy's energy levels. He looked tired trying to serve out on match point today. Playing non-stop tennis in tournament after tournament for the last 5 weeks is not something he normally has had to do especially now when he is still trying to recover his pre-surgery fitness levels. I guess we'll see!

And Ferrer is the worst player he could face under such circumstances!

Yeah that final game serving went a bit chokey didnt it? lol I think Ferrer being the likely SF is horrible but i take comfort in the fact that he's played just as much as Murray has lately and could be tired too. I think tomorrow we might see it be suprisingly one-sided, i doubt either of them want to be dealing with long scrappy rallies. Especially if they intend to play Paris too...

Well the good news for Murray and Ferrer is that with Raonic losing and Nadal possibly not playing the WTF. They look like both being in, unless Raonic plays Paris and wins it.

Yep, another Murray/Ferrer encounter it is. BRING.IT.ON!!
And congrats to David and his fans on his 600th career match win. Great achievement.

Isn't he just plus he's playing at his home tournament which he part owns with Ferrero and has won 3 times so he'll have the crowd rooting for him!

He's enjoying a nice easy romp against Bellucci so any hopes of him getting tired out ahead of the semis have come to naught. We'll have to see what reserves of energy Andy can manage to find for tomorrow coz it's going to be yet another tough one!

Especially considering how he played today. Probably the best I've seen from Ferrer this year, everything was working for him out there.

Was it all Ferrer or was Bellucci just useless, only managing to hold serve 3 times with a serve like his?

No, it really was Ferrer that was way too good for him. It reminded me of his form from 2012 such was his incredibly high level of play. Whether or not he can repeat it tomorrow remains to be seen.

Ferrer to win Valencia/Bercy and then a WTF final vs. Federer! Who'd you think would win?
