2014 Valencia Open 500 - Predict the Victor

Truth: Ferru is playing out of his mind to get in the WTF. Final at Cincy, semi in Shanhai, final in Vienna, and so far a semi here. He will make it, but running into Roger and Novak on indoor hard will be torture.

Sure.

I said Murray needs to do well , so he can make it to later stages next year at majors and be a contender. He cannot win 3 tough matches if he is seeded below 4.

Good hold from Ferrer, Murray seems primed today. Hoping he stays on it, his service games have been good SO far.
 
This might be completely off topic with the match at hand but I just noticed that usually the ballkids rearrange player's towels when a player like Murray throws it on the chair for them but one of these kids DIDN'T :shock:

Ferrer gets one of the breaks back after an error-filled service game from Murray. Luckily he still has one break left
 
The crowd is really getting behind Ferrer now, im sure thats getting to Murray a little but he's just being WAY too passive now. Ferrer is striking with agression, Andy needs to hit back with some too. You're not going to beat a guy with the mommentum by feeding him short balls to go at.

Just unbelievable! TWO friggin' breaks of serve and he hands them BOTH back!
This match is a microcosm of what he's been doing all year, getting ahead in matches, securing vital breaks and then sloppily handing them back! It's small wonder his ranking has fallen so far.

Not good enough Andy...not good enough at all! What's the point in trying to make London if you're gonna keep on doing this? :twisted:
 
These two are going to be dead at the WTF. No matter what happens, one of them is certain to be there, most likely both of them. But the way they've gone at each other this set is just going to destroy them and both intend to play paris?!

Murray and Ferrer playing on clay ? They can turn the quickest of courts also into a rally fest.

Quite a contrast compared to the tennis played at Basel.
 
very much enjoying the haggis paella match and hope haggis wins so we can see him in London. will be a shame as I am also very fond of paella!
