I had no idea that the swing weight on the current 90 is only 325 compared to my K90's 336. It has to be sooo much easier to swing, generating insane racquet head speed. I think I will have to buy some of these now. Especially with the price so low. Does it have the same plow as my K90?

It is very easy to swing, even comparable with the PS85 TW reissue. I have never played with the K90 so I can't compare but I did not notice any stability/plow issues with the 2014 "90".

It is quite easy to swing, but it still has great plow (though not to the same extent as the PS 85 I'd say), I just wish somebody would finally take mine, I'll be giving them away for free at this rate!

Never played with the 2014 but 2012(PS BLX 90) swings a lot easier than the k90 too. I don't find it the 2012 90 gets pushed around either, the stability is still rock solid.
@SpinToWin giving away the mistress? lol.

Nah the mistress is the 85 and she will forever be found hiding in my closet for the occasional pleasure ride :p ;)

Wow, the smaller head never bothered my game, i sometimes would get tired from the high sw of my K90. So if it swings that much easier and still has plow, it may be the way to go!!!

The 2014 PS 90 was designed to be very close to the PS 6.0 85.

And after so many generation of the Tour/Pro Staff 90, Wilson finally nailed it. This is essentially a PS 6.0 90.

And of course they would kill it after...

I disagree on that, but different strokes for different folks suppose.

All jokes aside, shoot me an offer if you're interested. I won't be using them again so they're wasted on me :oops:

I'll consider it. I've just acquired a Fischer Vacuum Pro Mid so its kind of an uphill battle at the moment...

Like it often does, it comes down to Wilson's quality control. I've played with 2014 PS 90's that swung much lighter than others did, so it really just depends on which one you end up with (or ask TW to find ones with the lowest swingweight for you). I've played with one that swung close to a U.S. spec K90 and another that swung closer to an Asian spec K90, so it's all over the place.

I'm buying two used for cheap locally. Hopefully they will be close to spec. I did just order 2 more from TW and utilised the matching service. Thanks for the tip.

So i got to hit with the 90 and my RF97 today. RF97 hits a way heavier ball with a higher trajectory. I can hit more angles, more spins, more touch, more varied paces, more varied trajectories and just do more with the 90. The 90 is old school tennis, strategy, finesse, angles. RF97 is modern tennis, crank the ball. 90 is insanely easier to serve with than the RF97. Also easier to serve with compared to my K90 because of the lower swing weight. I think the RF wins more matches at higher levels, but at all levels at 4.5 and below, i'd think a 90 user with the skills could have great success. With the RF97 i lose some quickness and finesse, but do get more easy power, great defense and the ability to rip winners. So this week I'm sticking with the RF97. The 90 is a lot of fun though.
