Nope. My point stands that Lisicki is a huge head case and drama queen. One of the biggest. This is not a secret, it is there for all to see. She is horrible under pressure.

I wouldn't argue with that point ever :) I just take issue with calling her a cheater.

Interesting match. Two lefties. Wide ad serves not so effective ;)

Safarova was playing great in the first set.

No thread for this match, but a thread for Halep-Bouchard? We need consistency, folks...

Petra two games away from the final. Interesting that she has a mental coach in her camp.

I gave up and went to mens dubs, cant get into this one at all though I will watch the 2nd

Whoever stands on the other half vs Kvitova will have a hard time against her lefty serve and massive groudstrokes. Hope its Bouchard...cant stand this ****

Ditches Radek and immediately she's into the Wimbledon final and everything seems screwed on right again.

GSM Kvitova, 7-6(6) 6-1.

Kvitova has been unbelievably efficient throughout this tournament, although she's had a pretty easy draw. She had a tough 3rd round match against Venus, but after that she's had to go through Peng, Zahlavova Strycova and Safarova.

Doesn't matter though. She's still standing and that's all that counts.

So much jealousy in these posts. What? Can't get a woman so your life is spent hating gorgeous, confident, successful women?

Anna Kournikova is one thing. But when you have a player like Bouchard that backs it up with talent, confidence and results: safe to say she's the real deal.

Not really; she's always been a scattered personality, which leans toward the reason this is her first majors final since her lone Wimbledon victory.

I believe the unwarranted hatred of Bouchard stems from her choice in men--or a particular man. This suggests certain, bitter tennis fans realize they are not her "type," so their fantasy crashed and burned. Outside of that (which is not an excuse they can use), she has not displayed any behavior justifying the swelling hatred.

By the way interesting first set. Both traded early breaks out of nerves, but since then it was on serve until TB. Lucie was outplaying Petra off the ground, but Kvitova served lights out, the only thing that kept her in the set.

After the first set, Safarova's spirit was seemingly broken and Kvitova started making less UE on the return and wild UE's that were prevalent in the first set started turning into winners.

Kvitova survived a break point (Lucie dumped second serve return into the net) and held on for 4-1. From that point on she dropped her own serve immediatly and Kvitova served it out to love.

Almost identical scores for Kvitova and Bouchard in their semifinal wins. Kvitova wins 7-6 6-1, Bouchard 7-6 6-2.

It should be a great final!
