It's frightening how bad she looks here. She finally won the 10 minute long first game of the match. Her footwork and movement look awful.
What do you think Team10?

Yessssss! Garcia def. [14] Errani 2-6, 7-6, 7-5, awesome win. Really glad Errani is out, she has no business making it far in Wimbledon.
Also, Duval def. [29] Cristea 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, really good win for Vicky. She's been playing pretty well for her first real year on tour, kinda bummed for Cristea though. She hasn't been doing well lately.
Lastly, Madison Keys def. Puig 6-3, 6-3. Great day with the results.
Yeah not looking good so far. Then agin, it's only the first two games of her first match here. Serena sometimes starts slow like this and gets it back.

EDIT: DTL, you're right about the footwork. Did you see that fall a minute ago?
Nope, I've since switched to the Bouchard match. What happened?
I hope so. For me, personally, there's no better player to watch on the women's side than Serena when she's on.

When Tatishvil was serving at Adv Serena, Serena basically went for a running forehand and slipped and fell on her @ss. Didn't look that great, but it seems like it was nothing serious.
I was going to say the same. Everything has gone well for my favorites today even Vika: De Brito, Duval, Garcia and now Genie won 1st set. Enjoying the day so far!
Yikes, well when all is said and done Serena is leading 3-1 so at least she's getting it done. Like you said, she just needs to work herself into form.
Yeah great day! I like all of those players with the exception of De Brito. How can you watch her play? That shriek is awful.
.
I'm supporting Serena too. Not worried for this round though.4-1 now. Her opponent isn't anything special. Serena will probably win 6-1, 6-1
6-1 1st set for Serena. I'm still watching Bouchard. Did Serena start to find her form or was it more about how bad Tatishvili is?
Even Woz won today
It's gonna snow![]()
It's been a pretty straight forward tournament so far for the seeded players. I believe Errani [14], Stosur [17] and Stephens [18] are the only top players out. Granted it's only been 1 round.
3 players I don't particularly like (especially the last 2). Boom. My kind of day :grin:It's been a pretty straight forward tournament so far for the seeded players. I believe Errani [14], Stosur [17] and Stephens [18] are the only top players out. Granted it's only been 1 round.
Don't forget [29] Cristea! Great win for Duval.

Kanepi is one game away from beating Jankovic.
Of course she's dangerous. I hope she gets to play SerenaWhat's your take on Sharapova at Wimbledon? It's been said her best surface is clay now. Do you think she's equally dangerous on grass?
Hoo another good news. They keep coming today...Done! Kanepi def. [7] Jankovic 6-3, 6-2  didn't see that coming and didn't see a single point of the match.
Simona Halep to follow on center court right now!!
Simona Halep (ROU) [3]

Teliana Pereira (BRA)
No one watching the Ivanovic/Schiavone match?
Huge attrition to me.9 of 32 seeded players were eliminated in the 1st round:
Jankovic[7]
Errani[14]
Stosur[17]
Stephens[18]
Vinci[21]
Pavlyuchenkova[26]
Muguruza[27]
Kuznetsova[28]
Cirstea[29]
Some were surprising, some not. It's not surprising the two Italians were dispatched, although Pennetta is still alive and Fognini somehow made it through his 5-set 1st round match. That nation just can't play on grass.
At least 13 of the top 15 players are still alive. So far it's shaping up to be a much less messed up draw than last year. Only one round though.
Great she tasted Wimbledon. She'll gain experience and improve!Taylor Townsend lost 5-7, 2-6 to 31st seed Klara Koukalova. 19 winners, 35 UEs. Goodbye until USO.
