IT'S COMING - ON TUESDAY 17th NOVEMBER, 2015.

ARE YOU READY?

H2H tied at 21-21 by the way (Djokovic leads 2-1 at the O2, with Federer's win coming in 2010). Djokovic won the last encounter in the 2015 US Open Final (last loss to Federer came in Cincinnati this year).

Djokovic in 2....

Unless Federer can sneak a tight TB, but he will run out of gas if it goes to a 3rd.

I feel sure, Federer will not be spraying forehand errors all over the court this time like he did in Wimbledon/USO. He will dictate instead but Djokovic eventually will draw same number of errors sticking to his backhand wing.

Easy two sets. A 34yo ought to have zero chance against multi-slam winning player at his peak, playing on his favorite super slow HCs.

agreed until Djokovic can beat fed in the go ahead in the h2h match it is still Federer in 3. Has not been able to do it yet.

Errr yeh I'm quite ready - thanks for asking tho..

Either man can win but I'm favouring Djokovic. Even if Federer wins, I expect Djokovic to win the title.

I hope the jinx stops here and Djoko finally gets ahead. Like your reverse psychology though bud. Keep it up! ;)
Except I'm not jinxing mate. Whenever Fed is in danger of going down in the H2H against Novak, you can guarantee he'll fight like a lion protecting its cub, like it'd be the worst thing in the world to happen to him. If only he'd shown half as much fight against Nadal over the years.

Expecting Federer to beat Djokovic on this court is too much IMO. I don't like this defeatists talk but these conditions are tailor made for Djo's game who happens to be playing some of the best Tennis of his career. A three set loss will be an extremely positive outcome for old man with other top players are struggling to win points against Novak lately.

Just confirmed as Tuesday evening as I had hoped and planned when the groups were announced! Got my tickets and everything went as planned with both Fed and Novak winning and ATP scheduling the marquee match for the evening

True bud! He really doesn't like Novak and plays every point like a match point against him. Hopefully though, Nole will be on too good for him regardless. We will see

Yeah but to fair, he's never been in danger of going down in the H2H has he? I thought this is the first time Novak has been level in H2H. Story was always that he'd have a chance to level and Fed would pull 2 ahead again. Novak finally broke that. EDIT - No you're right, they were 20 - 20 after wimbledon. Still that was something That Novak had never done before, so he can certainly take the lead.

Don't worry, soon Novak will have a H2H lead over Fed and Nadal. Really I'd prefer if Fed kep his lead over Djkokovic since he trails Nadal so much, and hope that it's at least close, but can't begrudge Novak a lead, accepted that for while now they've played more matches In Novak's prime than Federer's so Fed will end up on the losing side but the fact that he can still win a few and make the losses mostly competitive is really nice.

Anyway hoping it's a quality match on Tuesday. Last time I planned out seeing a match that would hopefully be the match up I wanted, it was Fed vs Nadal 2011. Which I did enjoy, but won't be fun for me if that was my two favourites

They were level prior to the Cincinnati final.

Fancying Fed in 2. But we all know the man with gorgeous hair will be the likely winner.

???? That has happened only once in all their years of playing each other.

Let's go Federer. Somebody needs to step up to this boring a-$$ player Djokovic. Stop the streak again! :D You are the only one of these lame a-$$ top ten players who can do it at this tournament.

Federer doesn't plan to play well as soon as he might go down in the H2H, guys. Stuff like that just happens and anybody saying otherwise is looking at things way too hard. Djokovic will win this in 2 and all his fans can go home happy knowing that he finally has the H2H lead after 43 matches over a guy that's 34 years old.

Screw the H2H. There will be always an excuse for that. The World Tour Finals trophy is the only important thing now.

And that is the way it should be, but you know as well as I do that what I said holds true. Some people will be wetting themselves over Djokovic taking the H2H lead for the first time.

I have a feeling that Federer could win their RR match and lose the final - similar to what happened in 2005 with Nalbandian.

Federer isn't just an ordinary 34 year old though(not sure why so many of his fans fail to realise this). He's still ranked inside the top 3 and is regarded by many as the greatest player of all time so I can understand why some Nole fans will "go home happy" if he wins.

I get your point, but wouldn't you be happy if your player took the lead against the tennis GOAT (imagining if you were supporting someone else)? Federer is not the player he once was of course, but being 34 does not erase everything. He has not disappeared like a 34 year old Hewitt, who is barely in top 300 now. He has been 2nd and 3rd this year. He is very competitive even today which is just another plus for him. People getting excited with the potential H2H advantage is also down to the fact that Federer is the player others want to catch up. Big titles are a priority without a doubt, but H2H is at the very least an interesting stat to point out. Djokovic potentially leading Fedal in H2H would be something to be proud of. Nowhere near his 10 Slams, 4 WTF and 26 Masters, but still a great achievement. Would you agree?

A lot head to head scores to be settled in this WTF. The Djokovic head to head for Federer is awesome and shows that he actually is a matchup issue for Nole (2011 French Open semi). The Rafa head to head is the real story in this tournament and Fed has a chance to show that Rafa's strong advantage is also due to surface.

Fed's motivation may change if Nadal beats Wawrinka tomorrow and looks to be heading towards a group win. I'd expect he'd prefer not to meet Nadal in this tournament except in the final.

This is only the second time they have been level and Novak quite likes this tournament too

lmao Really it feels like more. Is it when he tried to even it up? Or get one close to tying the h2h? LOL it seems like it took forever to get it tied. There was a period there where djokovic would get close then fed would always win a match and set him back again.
