Good to see Fed using the drop shot so much this match. That shot helped him win the '09 FO, then he sort of abandoned it.

presuming he wins tonight, that's gonna be the case no? It can of course be the afternoon, but that would be odd (remember they put Murray-Fed on it in the afternoon back in 2010 though instead of Soderling-Ferrer, who got the night spot).

I should hope so. You going this year?

Really hope Fed and Djokovic will be in the afternoon, anyone know when the schedule will be released? The two winners of sundays matches played in the afternoon session of tuesday last year

He needs to lose as few games as possible to cement his #2 spot in the Stan Smith group. Break this beast again!

Games likely won't be important. All Fed has to do is beat Nishikori, assuming Djokovic goes undefeated and Federer sees this match out.

Berdych needs a good coach to have some sort of resurgence.. Murray's agent only can make things worse for him. Sometimes I feel bad watching him considering how much he has dropped this season.
yeah hes back to being fed's pigeon. He needs Lendl so bad but Lendl wants many millions of dollars. No Czech discount offered.

To think Vallverdu was salty and quit Murray's camp because Murray wouldn't make him head honcho. He (Vallverdu) has done absolutely nothing for Berdych. Smart decision on Murray's part not to hand him the reins. As for Berdych, what a tragedy. No wonder Lendl wouldn't work with him. The guy just isn't a champion and I think Lendl saw that.

Makes no mistake, this is Federer's best forehand level with RF 97. Mechanics of the stroke is looking very similar to his old windshield wiper PS 90 forehand. So there is a improvement compared to USO when it looked like permanently flawed.

GSM Federer. Started of sloppy, but as the match progressed, so did the rest of his game. Especially his serve. Berdych similar level throughout the match. Didn't serve well enough and a bit too many errors of the ground.

It's interesting actually - Berdych has stepped it up against Djokovic (and Nadal to some extent) but has totally regressed against Federer/Murray, who have thrashed him in every meeting this season.

I hope for your sake it is. Maybe you can gives us a heads up on the actual speed of the court?

Tbh I don't care about the court speed, just want to watch a good match :D. Never seen Federer live just hope he's on in the evening.

Unfortunately not, too much regular work these weeks - have fun

Hope so man.

Ahhh dude! Hope it's good for ya!

Me too buddy.

Federer winning the sponsorship award? Slip of the tongue or not? ;)

Windshield wiper? I think you mean liquid whip!

Yes! Now really hoping Federer vs Djokovic is the evening match on Tuesday. It has to be, come on!

When I saw the groups went and bought tickets for evening Tuesday session, Fed and Novak have done their part, hopefully the atp does theirs and makes their match an evening match. Last time I bought tickets banking on the match I wanted being set up was Fed vs Nadal 2011

Sportsmanship and sponsorship:)

He didn't step up against Rafa. That AO loss was ALL Rafa. Come on now. Berdych is still Rafa's pigeon.

Roger was great in the 2nd set and Berdych was dire throughout. I thought it would be more competitive considering Paris but not today. It must suck to have all that power and good mechanics of stroke and can do absolutely nothing with them when it counts.

AO loss was 99% Rafa I'd say - I still liked the way Berdy changed the plays with his FH. I'm sure he'd have lost the 3rd set in any other year though.
But yes, mainly against Djoko - he's still owned by Novak, but he's been competitive this year - at least we can say that :)

Such a class act is Roger. Many many other athletes who haven't achieved half as much as he has, act like they've achieved 5 times as much as he has.

If I were you, I would buy afternoon tickets too just to be sure (if you can go to both). When I went for the first time in 2010, the Murray-Fed match was scheduled in the afternoon to my surprise.

Federer did acknowledge "HE is not the only one who plays with good sportsmanship"... respect to all players who do play with good gamesmanship win or loose...

True that. He (Berdych) put on a very impressive display in the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters 2015 final against. He made quite a match of it. So, kudos to him for that. But he has beaten Djokovic on clay before, so maybe not a total surprise that he put up such a fight.
