Nadal is still finding his confidence so might create problems for himself I hope he settles down and plays like he is capable of.

I've said this to you before, but of those 4 Raonic meetings on HC only one is really relevant for their future meetings, the one where Rafa beat Raonic in a tight third set last year's spring.
Raonic is quite improved and would give Rafa all he could handle today imo.

The best Raonic has ever played in a tournament was Canada 2013 (and that ended in Nadal beating him 6-2 6-2).
You cannot find a masters event in 2014 that Raonic played better than Canada 2013.
Nadal was playing horribly at the start of 2014 (including back issues) in case you forgot.

Nadal actually hates players capable of outplaying him like names you mentioned earlier but loves their choking heads. Anderson could be new addition to bunch most like if Nadal improves his form.

Berdych, Raonic, Isner, Karlovic all can't beat him.
You are going to blame their heads?
They are the 4 most famous servers in tennis, along with Federer.
Its no coincidence that Nadal owns them all.
Nadal loves playing big servers on hardcourts.
Easy pickings.

Rookie vs. veteran in a Masters final is not the best place to evaluate. Plus Rafa played his very, very best HC in that month and a half. That's not his regular level. Raonic has improved A LOT since mid 2013. Rafa is still the favorite, but don't expect him to beat Raonic 6-2, 6-2 if they meet in IW this year.

Nah I wouldn't expect 6-2 6-2 either.

I didn't see you write anything bad, you just seemed to be totally in the match. Unless you wrote something bad that got removed. ;)

Nadal is on again pretty soon, so the forum should go nuts again!

I accused someone (a wrestling fan) of trolling in that match thread, and I guess I wasn't allowed to accuse.
Either way I rarely ever post in match threads (that was probably only the 4th or 5th match thread I've ever posted in), and I won't be today either.
I'll be glued to the TV and nothing else  during the Nadal-Anderson match.

Rafa is still not on auto-pilot so I expect he'll have to work a little harder. Anderson played well against Gasquet but that was Gasquet.

I'm up in the air about this match. I think that Nadal could be tight, off, and he could go out right here. Or he might click on and do very well. His play has been wildly up and down lately

I meant the Raonic-Nadal match-up when I said that it won't be 6-2 6-2.

Anderson-Nadal, I just think it will be all over if Anderson loses the first set.
I won't speculate on what might happen if Anderson wins the 1st set, it'd be harder to predict then, but the points will be relatively quick so I don't think Nadal's tiredness will be a factor.

you are Jim Courier arent you?

I disliked Jim Courier a lot back in 2009 when he gave Nadal absolutely no chance of beating Federer in the AO.
But he speaks very highly of Nadal now.
Not sure if that means he's a bandwagoner that will ditch Nadal when the next star arrives, but there are worse commentators around.

LOL, if you don't think Raonic is twice the player now than he was then, you don't know tennis son.

TWICE the player?
I don't think you realize what TWICE means.

Roanic is lost some weight this year, so he may be better this year (or worse, we'll see), but the best I've ever seen him play on a hardcourt was Canada 2013.
If you've seen him play better on a hardcourt than that, no problem, makes no difference.

you havnt seen any recent matches then obviously....the dude is a completely different player. he should change his name to Milos Lebowski

i don't think Anderson moves well enough over the long haul to really challenge a healthy Nadal...

Think Anderson's going to win it. Nadal just hasn't been able to keep a consistent level. It's a shame, I really loathe big servers. :/

That forehand.. Even a rec player can hit a clean drive volley.. Today's power tennis really makes a lot of untalented players get to the top

My gosh, how much time can you take between first and second serves?

No confidence on serve. He plays passively even when he has changes on return. I don't like what I am seeing. Nadal just looks rusty.
