I Thought I would start off the thread for the first Masters 1000 event of the year. Novak Djokovic is the defending champion here, after a tight 3 setter in the finals of last year against Roger Federer. As usual, the Player Entry List is full of the top players, so it should be a good one.

* Starts 12/3/15

Federer for victory! After crushing Djokovic in Dubai, I'm sure he'll be able to crush him once more in Indian Wells. And maybe Nadal; I'm feeling optimistic.

Perhaps it is Djokovic time, but then again if Federer plays well again... gonna be enjoyable whatever!
It is usually a great tourney though.

Indian Wells is the only HC Masters(apart from Cinci obviously) that Novak has yet to defend so it would be wonderful to see him win his 4th title this year. Ajde Nole!

One of the best, imo. There are always lots of quality matches there. The crowds are great, the venue is great. And I love the whole feeling around it - first big event since AO, so we've been waiting a lot and usually great sunny weather, which concurs with the begining of the spring season and sunny and warm days :)

Nishikori will be 4th seed for the tournament according to updated rankings after DC rubbers which means Murray has to face Top 4 player in quarters

QFs I want:

Djokovic vs Murray - Another 7-5/6 6-2 beat down.
Nadal vs Wawr- No lucky draws.

Federer vs Raonic- Exiting matchup.
Nishikori vs Ferrer- Acapulco revenge.

Nadal vs Coric or Kyrgios in early rounds will be icing on cake.

What actually will happen:

Djokovic vs Murray
Nishikori vs Ferrer

Federer vs Raonic
Nadal vs Wawr- With Wawr falling early, Berdych advancing.

My key interest in this tournament will be how real young guns like Coric, Kyrgios, Kokk. and others performs although I have little expectations from them. Following Nishikori, Raonic, Dimitrov, Tomic, Young will be interesting too. I no longer care about same old farts winning tournament again and again. I think Cilic, Del Potro are making comeback from injury breaks too, will be great tournament.

So, who is looking forward to the theoretical Fedal semi-final?

Del Potro (16-5, record here), Cilic( sent Federer Home in 3 st sets US Open 2014), and Tsonga will be making come backs in this M1K event, It looks like this one Indian Wells 2015 will be a Block Buster. Baby Fed will be playing too, oh wait, He's still pineing over sharkarova.

Tsonga withdrew a few days ago.

Monfils (left knee) and Goffin (rib injury) just withdrew too.

Goffin must have exacerbated his injury playing Davis cup.

I think it's a big ask for The Heat to win this.

Some of the guys that played Davis cup may be fatigued.

No sense in any prediction without a draw. Dolgopolov winning would be good fun.

Goffin must have exacerbated his injury playing Davis cup.
It was reported in the papers over here that Goffin was indeed already injured before the 5th rubber. Well, get well soon David!

Spicycurry couldn't stand the heat of this forum and had to leave hell's kitchen.

Ironic, really. Isn't it ironic?

RF deserves bit more respect than being called an old fart.
