Let's see about that...This is the North American Summer = Rafa Land.
Djokovic has no place here.

I wouldn't be averse to seeing Nishikori winning his first Masters here but one wonders how playing in Washington this week will affect his performance. Hopefully he'll be fit and raring to go, he needs to avenge that Madrid final in the quarters.
Are we in 2013 still ?
If Cilic serves well he can repeat USO
Funny how some of the matchups work out. You've got a 1st round match of Lopez vs Robredo. That's the #19 player in the world vs. #22. Then the winner of that match gets the pleasure of facing Murray in the 2nd round. I guess you can turn that the other way around and say that sucks for Murray too.
Playing together?![]()
Hm, not really a fan of giving Peliwo a WC. Doesn't seem deserving of it atm.
I wasn't even aware Raonic was playing, thought he was still injured. Tough draw for Nadal, hoping to see a Djokovic/Murray final.
It's the fact that they're not pushovers. Perennial top 30 guys. Robredo always battles and Lopez has some weapons and can sometimes play some high level tennis. Why should it suck for Murray (10-0 v Lopez, 5-2 v Robredo)?
Huh?! Good draw for Rafa I think - gives him good chance of making quarter final.
Kei is playing like a loser (another Dimitrov?), and has never won a masters title anyway, so we can discount him.
I still remember in 2007, there was a post tournament player's party after the event. Djokovic had won the title that year, and when he was sitting at his table, one of the waiters brought him the most expensive champagne bottle there. Novak asked who sent it, and the waiter pointed towards the table across the room. It was Nadal, who smiled and toasted Novak from his table. I thought that was quite classy of Rafa.
Of course Rafa then would go into panic mode, because there were no flights to take him and his girlfriend to Cincinnati. So Roger gets Rafa and his girlfriend to come with him and Mirka, and they played cards, boys against girls on the flight. Great stuff!![]()

QF Nishikori is a cakewalk, has nothing to hurt Rafa with on hardcourt.
On clay Nishikori can hurt Rafa because he's quicker than Rafa, but on hardcourt Rafa hits through him like its nothing.
Nishikori can only beat stupid dumb clowns like Djokovic.
Fascinating info. Where did you read this?
Murray needs to beat Djokovic and here's me hoping he can finally stop playing the Sub role at Montreal. Though I'd be happy if Rafa, Tsonga, Raonic or Thiem does well.

He's a Canadian. Who else can give him a WC if not his own home tournament.
Lol, if you think you've got it bad spare a thought for us Brits!Only 1 of 5 Canadians made it to the 2nd round in qualifying. That was Brayden Schnur, who beat 12th seed Ruben Bemelmans 6-4 6-3.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: We have a few pretty good players but we've got crap all for depth. We'll get there though!
Got ya. I see.I never said they were pushovers, just that Murray hasn't lost to either of them since 2007 (Robredo). Obviously, Murray will have to be back to his best (and not like he was in Washington this week) but if he is, then I think it is the other 2 who will be feeling more nervous.
Just noticed the Doubles draw is completely stacked even in the first round.
Nadal/Verdasco v Berdych/Sock
Murray/Paes v Anderson/Chardy with potential Murray v Murray 2nd round.
Djokovic/Tipsarevic v Troicki/Seppi
Hewitt/Kyrgios v Monfils/Tsonga
Whoever comes out on top of this can be safe in the knowledge they've won The Real Slam this year.
Not sure why. You wouldn't get to see any of those matches if you were!Wow, nice line up. It would be really good to be in Toronto right now.
Haha, you beat me to it. Was trying to edit......never mind thenNot sure why. You wouldn't get to see any of those matches if you were!

So how has Rafa more votes than Djokovic? The delusion is great.

Because Federer is not there. Easy answer.......![]()
